I absolutely loved the fact that I was able to explore Canmore on the back of a horse and it was just so quiet and beautiful and amazing. I was in love with the horse and I was a little bit concerned about the price, but I think it was worth it because of the beautiful scenery. You have to... More

What a wonderful experience at Cross Zee. We were very happy from beginning to end with the professional but personal way that this operation is run. From booking through the ride everything was great. The awe inspiring location cannot be beat. The ride goes up the side of the mountain through beautiful forests. The views are breath taking. The horses... More

A trip to Canmore will always include a horseback ride, as long as our girls are with us. Krista was an amazing leader with so much knowledge. We were fortunate enough for the three of us to get her all to ourselves! They have maximum 6 riders, which is optimal. We have been on several other horseback riding excursions where... More

I went riding with a friend on a Sunday and it was fabulous. The trail was gorgeous! It's not very often you get to take a beautiful ride through the trees, hills and mountains. Our trial guide, Christa was great. She was very knowledgeable about the horses and the environment. Not one of our questions went unanswered. They were very... More

While staying in Canmore I was looking for a ranch for trail riding with my girls aged 9 and 12. Cross Zee appealed to me because it seemed like a smaller and less busy operation. I was not disappointed! Our guide Krista was wonderful; so great with my daughters. She told us things about the vegetation and animals in the... More

My son and I recently visited the ranch and had a very enjoyable afternoon ride. The scenery was great and as an owner of horses myself I found the horses provided were well behaved and sure footed as the trails are sometimes narrow and steep. Great ride for those who enjoy trail riding at a leisurely pace.

We booked a one hour trail ride with Cross Zee while we were staying in Canmore. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and it is a much smaller operation than some of the trail ride companies, so it turns out it was just our family and the guide. The horses were well behaved and well cared for. We were... More

Cross Zee riding - horses excellent, Jim led us on a forest trail in our first visit, bear clawmarks on trees! Our second visit was led by the delightful Tara, on a ridge ride. Definitely a must do.

Had a very bad experience, horses spooked by the Owner's dog, who had no place on the trail. Thrown from my horse, luckily unhurt. Guide was inexperienced, not a clue what to do. Owner avoided dealing with the situation. No response.

My son & his girlfriend suggested we try the Cross Zee Ranch for an afternoon of horseback riding. I had not been horse back riding in years but what a great time we had. Horses were so well taken care of and the grounds and view from the ranch were lovely. Jim took us riding through the woods and along... More
