We have visited the Nordic Centre a few times and have always had a great time! A great place for adults and kids of all skill levels! We stayed on the main tracks as we are still learning how to xcountry ski. The other skiiers around us were very encouraging and friendly. An amazing value for a family! Being active... More

Enjoyed the blend of natural and man made, plenty of amenities, into cross country skiing this is the best, daily ski trail fees (need $ help to keep the trails groomed), Olympic class - nuff said! :)

Liked: the ski shop inventory, the service, the rental check-in kiosk, the resale of end-of-season rental gear, the ticket prices, the level of challenge of inclines, the biathlon Disliked: the weird toaster oven that sits on the floor every year by the wall of ski boots for sale, second-hand smoke from the employees having a break outside the buildings

Love the groomed trails for beginners and experts. Fresh air for all. It had been so warm and raining I did not know if there would be snow, but the main Banff Trail was maintained. Skiing when it is 5 degrees is a great way to spend the day.

You can rent skis/boots/poles for 2 hours and get a center day pass for about $30, and it is a great way to spend the afternoon. They also offer lessons. We arrived at 1:30 when others were leaving, so the courses were not too busy. The lodge is bright and warm, and has a cafeteria for drinks/snacks. A great workout... More

The Nordic Centre hosted cross-country skiing events in the 1988 Olympics. The trails and lodge are exactly what you'd expect from a world-class facility, and the $10 daily trail pass is an excellent value.

arrive early. After 10 the parking if full. Make sure you have all your gear, because equipment for sale is super expensive. We bought a season pass ($150 pp) so we don't have to wait for the opening at 9, Some trails are lit. Also some skating.

After years of watching this sport on TV I finally managed to have a shot myself. Having skied only a couple of times before, I was a little apprehensive, as my friend is a qualified ski instructor. I need not have worried though! After 5 mins I was away! Great place to try Nordi!

This park located just above town is a great place to xc ski in the winter with groomed trails to fit all skiing abilities. Skiing is not free unfortunately but still reasonable for what you get. In the summer there are mountain bike trails for all skill sets. There is a nice lodge to warm up in and hot food... More
