This was an excellent trip even though we did not get to the Abbott Pass hut because of dangerous conditions. They lined up alternative accommodations and climbs quickly, and were extremely well organized. The guides did a completely fantastic job in everything they did, but the climb to the Neil Colgan hut and the climb of Mt Fay was especially... More

With very little indoor climbing experience I was a little nervous heading into this program. However, having done a few programs with Yamnuska in the past I was expecting to have a knowledgable and friendly guide to help me along, and I was NOT disappointed. Our guide made me feel safe at all times, provided good information and safety techniques,... More

It was a fantastically well organised trip: all the equipment provided by Yamnuska was great; the arrangements were fine, the food was really good and the guide was excellent. It was a beautiful place, with Assiniboine (the Canadian Matterhorn) at the end of the lake. We helicoptered in and out ,which was fantastic even if only a brief 10 mins... More

Did the Nakoda Lodge ropes course. The grounds at Nakoda are a little grungy and run down looking. I was a little disapponted when I first arrived and saw the course. I was expecting more going from tree to tree not pole to pole. I also thought the course would be bigger. That's the negative. For 4 to 5 people... More

Very organized, terrific people to deal with through the whole process, the equipment is top notch, the guide went over and above all expectations, the food was delicious and more than enough. I can't say enough about the positives. It was a trip to remember.

Great course, learned a lot about planning, routefinding and movement skills for scrambling. Course logistics were excellent and our guide was top notch. I was very fortunate to be on course with just one other person, so the resulting guide:client ratio of 1:2 was terrific for learning. My 3rd course with Yamnuska and I will likely take at least one... More

Just returned from Yamnuska's Yoho Peaks trip - three nights and four days to hike some of the higher/glaciated peaks around Stanley Mitchell Hut in Yoho NP. The highlight was hiking up a glacier at night and seeing the sun rise from the top of The President, over 10,000 feet high. What a way to start Canada Day! I'd done... More

My friends and I recently participated in Yamnuska's new multi-pitch climbing course in Canmore. Everything about this course was excellent, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in getting into multi-pitch climbing. Our guide, Jason Billing, was a wonderful instructor, and by the end of the two-day course we felt very confident that we could begin to... More

Yamnuska was hard, but so amazing and once you reach the top is such an amazing feeling. I used to always love hiking as a kid and growing up. Although once you experience climbing mountains like this, it is just so much more. I would do it again and again. This year I will experience new challenges and new mountains.... More

6 days traverse from Bow to Yoho, with lots of backcountry skiing. One night at Bow Hut, one night camp, three nights at Stanley Mitchell Hut. This is a challenging trip, especially with the forecasted avalanche conditions. The Yamnuska guides (Jesse and Craig) were exceptional, it’s fair to say that the trip exceeded my expectations. I will definitely go in... More
