We are a small family-owned and operated Sled Dog Touring company running dogsled tours out of Canmore, AB in the Kananaskis Provincial Park adjacent to Banff National Park. We have been in operation for 15 years with the British Army our main client. We run 2-hour, Half-Day, and Full-Day. This year we have opened our Kennel for tours during the summer season so we can offer family-dog adventures year round. We specialize in smaller groups and encourage involvement so you can experience dogsledding like a real musher.

Russell openly shared his love and passion for his dogs and work. His knowledge of Canadian history and Sledding history was unbelievable. The dogs... OMG... they are all so beautiful, and each so unique! We had so much time to get to know them and play. We even were able to see and pet the 10 day old puppies!!! I... More

Unlike some tours which can be larger groups, this is much more personalised. Russell is passionate about his dogs, but also about the history of sledding and the area: we learned so much in a short time. Meeting the dogs was a great experience. You get lots of time with them at your own pace, and the layout really encourages... More

Dogsledding is so much fun! The cold wind in your face, the enthusiasm of the dogs, the glint of the sun on the snow!! A true Canadian winter experience that only the Rockies can provide. We were well cared for, as were the dogs, and we were very comfortable the whole time. We learned the names and personalities of the... More

The kennel tour was taken by the owner who gave us a brief history of dog sledding before introducing us to his dogs. The history part was very interesting but meeting the dogs and getting close and personal was brilliant, each with their own personality. This felt like a personal visit rather than a commercial venture, the interaction between the... More

Dogsledding is a winter country MUST DO! This company has some of the happiest dogs I've ever met! They are so excited to go (although this can get loud, the energy of it is incredible!) and so happy to be pet and loved! Our guides were friendly and helpful, we had the choice to drive the sled or sit inside... More

Husband and I booked the two hour dog sledding trip and wow we were thrilled, what a rush. We both thoroughly enjoyed the ride and mushing. Our guide was so helpful and super friendly. The dogs are so friendly and love all the attention, we will do this again one day.

You might think it's a little expensive, but there is a LOT of labour involved in this operation. Worth every penny...you get to drive, or just be a passenger (driving is more fun), whatever you want. Great staff. Can't think of anything they could do to improve the experience. We did the two-hour tour.

This was an incredible experience that I won't forget! The dog sled guides are friendly and knowledgeable, and the dogs are very friendly and charismatic. Our favorite was "Bones", he loved to run!
