Owner description: We are a small family-owned and operated Sled Dog Touring company running dogsled tours out of Canmore, AB in the Kananaskis Provincial Park adjacent to Banff National Park. We have been in operation for 15 years with the British Army our main client. We run 2-hour, Half-Day, and Full-Day. This year we have opened our Kennel for tours during the summer season so we can offer family-dog adventures year round. We specialize in smaller groups and encourage involvement so you can experience dogsledding like a real musher.

Dog Sledding with Mad Dogs is beyond compare! We've been dog sledding for about 12 years and find this to be the best company out there! We've been with every company in Canmore as well as in Montana and Alaska. What sets them apart is the unique and personal experience you get - for starters you will not be in... More

My parents came from the UK our first Christmas time together in 7 years. We wanted to make extra special memories so dog sledding was a must on our to-do list! Mad Dogs and Englishmen came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. Our group ranged from 11 to 63 years of age. We met the owners of the family... More

My Granddaughter & I took the 2 hour morning tour. It was our first dogsled adventure and I chose the company with great care. Mad Dogs & Englishmen are a small family operation. The Dogs are treated like family and you cannot help but fall in love with them. Our guide, Forrest, a very knowledgeable, personal & friendly guide gave... More

We had a great time with this team. They were so friendly and the team made us feel totally at ease with the task in had. The dogs were all up for the job and followed instructions without any problems. I would love to do this again.

We joined maddogs for a dog sledding expedition that left us both in awe. That morning of the tour, I encounted the worst storm ever and thought perhaps the tour was not going to happen. We went down to the junction cafe (supposed meeting area), saw no one and was about to leave. Just then, we met Dawn, the owner's... More

We just got back from the 4 hour tour and we had an amazing experience!!! The dogs are super and so are the guides. We were all allowed to ride on the back or sit in the sled and change as often as we wanted. The lunch was great and the scenery was stunning. Thank you so much.

My husband, two-year old, and I had a great experience dog sledding just before Christmas 2013. Our guide was wonderful and cheerful and had extensive knowledge about all the dogs on our sled. As it was a chilly day (especially for us visiting from Texas!), we weren't sure how our little one would do. We dressed him in snow gear... More

We took the short tour:2hours, over the ice and in the trees and back. It was super, my husband could lead the dogs and I sat in the sledge with our 3 kids. The 5months old and three year old fell asleep, the five year old helped my husband and could also stand on the back of the sledge. So... More

Great time! Very cheerful guides and friendly dogs. A solid, scenic dogsled tour with spectacular sites of the Rocky Mountains all around you, and the dogs are well loved, cared for and treated as family members.. Exactly what I like seeing! Watching the guides praise and pet their dogs for doing a good job made my day. I Highly recommend... More

A small company that offered us a great experience. loved being able to interact with the dogs. It was a beautiful day, although frigid temps, recommend good warm layers, especially feet and neck muff etc. Our <2year old went to sleep encased in her sleeping bag on the sled! Russ and JD looked after us well, and we enjoyed being... More
