A very interesting museum to learn about the history of a very unique area of Ontario. Many historical buildings have been moved to the site, including a pioneer church. This is available to be booked for weddings. Beautiful.

I was on a bus tour so our time was limited. We did not get to see all the buildings. Everything was well maintained. Our Tour Guide Catherine was very well spoken and very knowledgeable. Very willing to answer questions. Of course everyone's favorite building was the General Store. Would love to visit again

We were given a knowledgeable tour of their Historical Village. It was especially interesting to us as we were in Markam to pay our respects to our Hiltz Ancestors.

We lived in Markham many years before going to the Museum, but now we send our kids to camp there, use it for girl guides, and visit on the open house days. Its a wonderful facility and right now there is a special PanAm sports exhibit which is really first rate (as good as one would find in any museum... More

We enjoyed visiting "old" Markham when we were touring the area to visit the old stomping ground of our Canadian ancestors. So nice that the old homes, train stations, general store, etc. have been preserved. I especially liked the signs that explained the history of the structures. Thanks Markham - job well done!

We took our adult children and grandchildren here for a family outing. Tons of interesting displays and some very interesting Markham history. We also visited the Historic village and it was wonderful for the grandchildren to see how things were a hundred years ago and more. Very worthwhile.

Thank John N
