Whether rain or shine, the hiking trails surrounding the dam are a beautiful escape from the bustle of city life. It's an enjoyable walk, and the trails are not particularly difficult. There are off leash trails for furry companions, but be warned that the garbage cans to dispose of dog waste are only at the trail entrance. There have been... More

First of all lots of free parking! Also very close to every thing so u don't have to drive far to get there! Half of it it's paved! The only thing I didn't like was some dogs not being on leash even though there were many signs saying "dogs must be on leash"

An easy walk, and an incredible view. Great for all ages. You won't believe it until you see it. The water crashes over the dam and hits below. It is mesmerizing to watch. We always leave feeling peaceful and blessed to live in this gorgeous place. The surrounding view is all mountain, forest, clear water & nature.

For those who want a bit more adventure, you can start... More

All is quiet and peaceful until you get to the mid point of the dam and peer over. Spectacular water running over the weir into the canyon below. Hang on to your hat.

I usually take visitors from Britain here because it's the kind of thing that they seldom see and it certainly doesn't cost a lot. It is quite the sight, certainly in the summer..

I love free, and i love walks in the forest. If you are visiting and going to the cap bridge or grouse mountain on your own, it would be foolish not to take a look looksey around clevaland dam and go for a little nature walk. Driving, a quick hop off the transcanada, head north after you exit for cap... More

The dam is a great place to go for a walk, or hike. The dam is quite impressive to see. A fun outing rain or shine for locals or tourists.
