A nice stroll with friends, who shared the history of the area as she remembered it being built in 1953

A short walk from the parking lot to the dam. There wasn't much water in the dam and it wasn't flowing lots, but still interesting. The views of the mountains were absolutely fantastic though!!

Overall there is not a huge amount of diversity of things to see and do but there is magnificence if you want to see a dam up close and the reservoir. The scenery is picturesque.

Though the dam would have been more impressive if the water levels were higher - more of a trickle than a dam - the views from everywhere were spectacular! The mountain range backdrop is really amazing. It's totally free to park, hike the miles of trails and visit the salmon hatchery. Stunning old growth forest, beautiful viewpoints, and well maintained... More

The view is amazing - the mountains, the park, the dam which you can walk across and take pictures from the middle. Park is well-maintained and clean.

Amazing view from Cleveland Dam. And most of all ... it is free! As you walk up from the parking area, you get mesmerized immediately by the natural beauty of British Columbia! Reminds me of the Sound of Music. Go visit and you will understand what I mean. Enjoy the view!

While hordes of tourists descend upon the very popular Capilano suspension bridge , locals in the know head over to the lesser known but equally as idyllic Cleveland Dam. In addition to trails and grassy areas for relaxing, it offers gorgeous views of the canyon, Grouse Mountain and the reservoir. It has all the usual amenities such as free parking,... More
