Although not a Granville Island Market Lonsdale provides a great selection of Deli and produce foods. A great place for lunch, snack, or quick bites.

Really disappointed with the visit to Lonsdale Quay Market. Small, fairly kitsch, market area, although the fresh produce section looked good. The rest was fairly uninteresting. The highlight was the SeaBus journey!

Lonsdale Quay (pronounced 'key') Market is a fun place to visit not only for residents but also for visitors. On the ground floor you can buy fresh produce of all kinds, as well as clothing and jewelry items. Upstairs, although still under renovations, has shops and restaurants for all to enjoy. Outside, on the south end of the Quay, you... More

Its a quiet market located by the ocean. Makes for a good lunch stop and great to sit outside on a sunny day. Granville Island has more buzz and ambence but this does have its own character so visit it expecting a smaller, slower atmosphere with an amazing deck by the ocean and view of downtown.

We visited the market place last Saturday afternoon. I hope that it was just due to weather which was still cool and cloudy: the market place was relatively quiet with not a lot of people strolling around. The second floor was even more so, with just a handful of stores opened. There are vendors selling fish, seafood, fresh produce, craft... More

Being a local, with Lonsdale Quay on my doorstep, I never tire of going there, either to shop, take visitors, or just to wander. Hopefully visitors arriving on cruise ships will just hop on the sea bus and spend a pleasant hour or so looking round a local market.
