This is a good place to take my 3 year old grandson. He loves it and would go all the time. I live the running hot water troughs in the field. Very much needed and very welcome on a cold winters day.

If your kids are not sure what to do, there is Maplewood farm where children can see and pet animals. There are small trails to walk along but what I like is that you get the opportunity to get up and close with some of the animals. They also let a number of hens and ducks roam around. Easy to... We got there just before closing, but we still got to see all of the animals and to help herd the goats from the outdoor enclosure into the barn. The kids went into the pen with the rabbits and guinea pigs and got to pet them. There is enough of an assortment to keep the kids interested and the property... More

Oh this is the cutest farm ever. If you have kids under 10, they will really enjoy their time here. Located on the North Shore and off the beaten track a little, it's worth the drive if you are stuck with little kids who are itching for an activity. This is a local's secret, so I hope you enjoy!

Maplewood farm was beautiful! We took our 20 month old and 4 year old and they had a blast!! The farm is clean and the animals are well cared for. Make sure to book pony rides before your visit as they book up a few days ahead

Main reason for us going was to allow our daughter who just turned 5 to be able to ride a pony at a price we could actually afford. We were advised to get there at 10 promptly because the pony rides fill up fast so we got there early. I hope the year pass we purchased was worth it because... More
