We are experienced paddlers and signed up for an advanced self rescue course. With 4 other paddlers we went through multi scenario situations, including over loaded boats, waves/tides/wakes, loss of vital equipment and assisting others. We enjoyed the course and now feel a bit less humbled at dangers awaiting. Above all that, scenery is wonderful and paddling in Indian Arm... More

3 adults and 2 teenagers rented paddleboards for an hour. One of us had paddleboarded before but it was the first time for everyone else. If the weather is nice, make sure you book as they get very busy and people were being turned away on the day we visited. Changing rooms are communal but fairly clean and the staff... More

We took Standup Paddle Board lessons here on a Sunday morning. The place was full of people but management had everything under control. Our instructor took us to a calm spot and proceeded with the lesson. The lesson was excellent and the group had a lot of fun. Everyone in the group said they would return to enjoy the water... More

This is a REALLY busy shop. Staff are efficient -- too much so. Didn't feel welcome but rather processed. They give you forms, show a map, sort of indicate where to go next. You're given a life vest and paddle, put in your boat and off you go! It would've been nice to have a "how are you today?" and... More

Deep cove is known for its beautiful scenery and it get super busy with people trying to get out on to the waters. Be early so you won;t waste time trying to find parking. The water gets quite busy with traffic as well. I went at 8 and by the time we came back at 10:30 it was super crowded!

We booked a guided tour for myself, husband and adult son and daughter. The only one of us to have prior experience was my husband so we made the instructor aware that we were new to kyaking. There were two other people in our group, a father and son who had experience. We got left behind fairly quickly and struggled... More

Whether you are a tourist or a local - you must take time this summer to rent a kayak and spend the best 2 hours of your week paddling around Deep Cove. Reservations are a good idea during the summer months. Get there early and enjoy a morning on the still and beautiful water. Paddle out to Jug Island or... More

Amazing, beautiful place to kayak! Deep Cove is about a 30-minute drive from Vancouver and is nestled within the mountains that surround it. Absolutely stunning views from the small village or the water. I rented a kayak from these guys and set about my first ocean kayaking experience. The staff asks you to fill out a waiver (you can fill... More

My wife is not the most sporty person in the world so I was a little worried about kayaking. She had no problem doing this at all. This turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. We kayaked towards the beginning of tourist season so there was no one out there. The water was still like glass and... More
