I had a great time on the full day Island Explorer tour. The scenery was beautiful. Our guide, James, was knowledgeable and good fun. We went a pace which was neither too fast nor too slow. Thoroughly recommended.

Apart from an amazing location, this is a wonderful kayaking outfitter. When you first visit you instantly notice the staff; they are all professional and knowledgeable. The kayaks, canoes and SUPs are al in very good condition and well maintained. The check in is simple and relatively fast and in no time you are out on the beach. More information... More

Ollie was a lovely guide. We had a fab time and we're particularly excited by both Honeys doughnuts and seeing seals frolicking in the water

This group is a must visit for getting out on the water in Vancouver. Deep Cove is somewhat more sheltered because of its location, and it was great for our family of beginning paddlers. Our guide Oliver was friendly and accommodating. His enthusiasm for the cultural history and marine & geological features made the trip much more interesting than if... More

I had been looking forward to kayaking in Deep Cove for a long time and finally got the chance to do it recently. I have to say we completely underestimated a few things about kayaking in Deep Cove. First of all, it may look calm and tranquil in Deep Cove, but once you get out there in a kayak on... More

Hi Andrew, Thanks for sharing your experience of kayaking in Deep Cove. Yes it certainly can get windy in the afternoon of a sunny day. If you like calm, serene conditions try visiting Deep Cove first thing in the morning when the water is usually flat and the winds are light or non-existent. The beauty of kayaking is that every... If in the area it's definitely worth renting a kayak or canoe & going for a paddle. The cove is stunning & there are loads of amazing houses to look at from the water. The kayak rental is great, nice staff & perfect location.

This is a pretty typical setup for recreational rentals. Staff are friendly, but rushed. If you've never been kayaking before you'll want to slow them down and have them take time to show you the ropes. We've been kayaking quite a bit so was not an issue although the kayak we had had a feature that they did not bother... More

We are experienced paddlers and signed up for an advanced self rescue course. With 4 other paddlers we went through multi scenario situations, including over loaded boats, waves/tides/wakes, loss of vital equipment and assisting others. We enjoyed the course and now feel a bit less humbled at dangers awaiting. Above all that, scenery is wonderful and paddling in Indian Arm... More
