An excellent place to wander around and learn about the life of Buddhist monks. The smell of incense is wonderful and you can light a stick for rememberance of lost members of your family and friends.

My wife loved this place so I give the four stars for her experience. The gardens, statues, and architecture are cool. Not much for kids though, my three boys were stir crazy... Can't really run around in there and there isn't much to do for them.

I took the bus to the temple which dropped me right off in front of the temple. Beautiful place lots of people coming to worship, you can buy flowers and incense in the main temple. I arrived at lunch time so I had lunch in the Zen Garden which is on the ground floor behind the temple, good food, great... More

This large complex is well worth an hour or two to explore. The temple interior is interesting and the very detailed wall murals outside will capture your interest while you check out the scenes depicted. I am not too familiar with the Buddhist religion or the customs so a bit of signage in English would have been helpful. But, don't... More

Took the wife kids and her parents here. The missis is Chinese and she and her parents enjoyed it a lot. The kids had fun looking for turtles in the pond. Plenty of parking. We saw some kind of service which was a bonus.

very quiet, peaceful and beautiful Tons of carving, gold and craftsmanship. Pictures are not allowed in the temple buildings. Several explanations of the different Buddhas, lots of items that appeared to be paying homage to the deceased.

As we were in Richmond we visited this lovely temple. The gardens and temple are very beautiful, although the smell of incense was a bit overpowering. The golden Buddha was magnificent. We didn't get to sample the food, but saw the tables laid out for the "senior" day meals. It was well worth the couple of hours we spent there.
