Beautiful!

This was such a beautiful temple. It may not be a very big temple but it was lusciously decorated. A great temple overall!

It's a great colourful and comfortable visit for those who want to experience a Buddhist temple. The staff are used to visitors enjoying the sites, and there are many of those. Just make sure to respect the "no photography" signs in certain areas, I have seen too many who don't! They offer a Lunar New Year's Eve night festival and... More

Beautiful, peaceful and a holy place to go. Whenever you feel like refreshing your mind or go for a refugee, this is a place to visit. You will see people from all walks of life that will go there. The artwork of the Buddha, Dharma Protectors and Zen garden are just breathless !

Nice place to visit but carefully note this is a Chinese Buddhist temple. For Thai and Thervada Buddhists the Wat is a small converted house on Vancouver's East Side. Google to find.

The temple is big however doesn't take long to visit. The front was beautiful with pond, plants and a small pagoda. While we were there, there is a chanting session going on and It felt peaceful.

Very large temple built in China and reconstructed here. Workmanship is amazing.....no detail is left undone. Must be seen to really appreciate it. On busy Steveston Hwy....but the solid high fence blocks out the sound. They even have a free (donation suggested) vegetarian lunch....good food....

The Buddhist Temple on Steveston Hwy is one of a few Buddhist Temples in Richmond. All of them are interesting places to visit for people who are interested in Buddhism, art, & architecture. There are a few qualities about the International Buddhist Society Temple (IBST) that makes it quite unique. It has a wonderful garden in front of the temple... More

This is actually very difficult to review. An out of town guest asked if I could arrange a visit to one of Richmond's Buddhist temples, so I took her here. After our tour we were invited to lunch for a donation. The vegan food was very good and we were not force food religious rhetoric. If you want an pressureless... More

Ten of us re-visited the magnificent Buddhist Temple on Steveston Hwy between #3 and #4. Parking is plentiful. Besides the manicured classical Chinese garden outside we enjoyed a tour of the various buildings and the BC's largest Buddhist wall mural. You should start with the main hall first and work your way from front to back. The kitchen prepared a... More
