This is only about 20min off Auckland Harbor. The boat ride was nice. The short trek was nice, especially for those of us not used to treks. It kind of prepared us for the many treks to come in our visit. The views are good, but nothing to talk home about.

Was recommended to climb to the top of Mount Victoria, Devonport, for a view of the Waitemata (Auckland) harbour and the New Year fireworks. It was a short but steep climb, but well worth it. Amazing view out across the harbour to the city lights on the other side. Better to walk up than drive as it was long long... More

Took US friends up Mt Victoria on Boxing Day - beautiful views to Auckland city. Recommend a must visit in Auckland. Just an easy walk up from gorgeous Devonport which can be reached by car or ferry from Auckland city.

There's not many better vistas on the North Shore than the summit of Mt Victoria on a clear day. I've been here a few times when I have visitors from overseas, as the views of the harbour bridge, Rangitito and Gulf Islands and the City make for excellent photographs and selfies. Whether it is a selfie on the red and... More

Perfect day and great view point to see Auckland's two volcano cones, harbors, military installations and pretty Devenport. Built on the remnants of Auckland's third volcano cone it is also home to a covered reservoir marked by its "magic mushroom" vents. Really a must see.

It is a high spot, similar to the other high spots in Auckland, such as Mount Eden, One Tree Hills, or Owairaka Summit where people can enjoy the beautiful views of Auckland city below. This Mount Victoria Reserve is the best place to see Auckland Central Business District and down town from the high point. An obstructed view to City... More

If you ask me where is the best spot for overseeing the Auckland City, this place will be the answer. 20 mins drive from the heart of Auckland City, you can enjoy the sunshine, the fresh air and the stunning view on the top of the mountain. You can see the whole city just standing there. You can go with... More
