With the best views of Auckland it is worth the effort to walk up here, 360 degree panoramic views on a sunny day is simply spectacular

Great view back over to Auckland especially at sunset. It gives you a different view of Auckland and the harbour from a high point

Love the view. Best time to go around 4pm to catch the sunset, anytime later its plain dull sky. Its quite a hike up, so it's good if you drive.

For an awesome all round view of Auckland and the Hauraki Gulf, head up the mount as a must do whilst in Devenport. Gun emplacements good for quick visit and you can visit their cousins on Waiheke afterwards (but no actual guns are in place on the island)

Drive or walk to the top, great views, things for kids to climb on, slopes to slide down on cardboard. A simple fun half hour.

I caught ferry from Auckland to Devonport in purpose of seeking a spot to take a sunset photo of Auckland harbour. I saw this hill from Devonport harbour and I thought that place should have a good view of the harbour. I went up to climb the hill from small track at the side of kindergarden/school. it was pretty steep... More

Mount Victoria is only a 15 minute walk from Devonport Ferry Terminal, although it’s worth taking your time and exploring the shops and galleries in Victoria Road, Devonport’s main street along the way. Mount Victoria like neighbouring North Head provides picturesque views of Rangitoto Island and Auckland City.
