Our visit was cut short by the renovations currently underway. These should be completed in the summer next year. We spent most of your our visit viewing the gardens and paths that surround the park. Starting at the front.gate I would recommend taking a sharp right through the trees near the road and heading up a path, this takes you... More

I adore this place and there are exciting things planned for the reopening of Bramall Hall such as new rooms opened to the public. Renovations have over-run badly which a staff member told me was because the first contractor failed basically and sadly it's caused a lot of stress for not only staff but also for couples trying to plan... An Excellent Tudor/Elizabethan House! A National Secret treasure set in attractive parkland. The Building is in excellent condition anyway, but Look forward to seeing the fine detail of the building carefully renovated with even more TLC! The new courtyard new Cafe will be an asset, they have been planning to improve the cafe for years. The renovated walled garden will... More

We visited the park for the first time today and it was lovely! We were aware that the hall, outbuildings and walled garden are all 'work in progress', at the moment so we didnt expect too much. However the park was lovely for an Autumnal walk. We visited with our little granddaughter, who loved the play area, the wildlife, and... More

The hall itself is undergoing refurbishment until 2016, however the grounds are well worth a relaxing walk. Well at least they would be if you didn't have to keep your eyes permanently fixed downwards in order to have a fighting chance of avoiding the dog presents that are left everywhere for you. I don't know why it's such an issue... More

I visit here regularly at least once a month but it is closed for refurbishment . Inside is magnificent and a visit to the upstairs servants quarters is really moving . The wall paintings in the chapel are hundreds of years old I can't wait for it to open again

Having read reviews on Bramall Hall recently, I wanted to reassure visitors that the hall and stable block are the subject of a £1.6 million grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Bramall Hall is closed til Summer 2016 for improvement to historic rooms, repair of decorative plaster ceiling in Withdrawing Room, replacement of historic glazing, including stained glass and installation... Although the hall is currently closed it is still highly visible. Looks amazing from the outside. The gardens, walkways and paths are a warren of discovery and children were enjoying the open spaces when we visited. We enjoyed seeing a heron in the water and just wandering and enjoying. Had a hot drink from 'The Horsebox' which was reasonably priced... More

I love going here to take the dog for walk as there is plenty of wildlife to look at. It's also great to take kids there for picnics. The house is beautiful and there is a cafe there which is lovely too and you can sit outside with dogs

We love this place and can't wait till the refurbishment has been completed. The popup cafe has been welcomed but the cafe before was ace but did need a spruce too (please have better baby change!!) The hall and grounds are of course amazing but living in Bramhall we are biased. Sunny day picnics a must.
