Happy, beautiful horses and friendly, welcoming staff. We spent over an hour and a half walking around visiting the horses - maybe 80 of them? The organization cares for about 1,300 horses. It is a beautiful site to wander and spend a few pounds in the gift shop. We also donated a little money but there was no pressure. Such... More

I work with children with special needs and often take them to this centre, as well as taking my grandson on my days off. It is really well-run and clean, and the staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble. There is a little cafe, a shop and a playground. Unbelievably in this day and age, entry is free!!

Went today for one of the horses birthdays. Its totally free to get in. Quite a bit for kids to do and concrete paths so no muddy feet or struggling with pushchairs. Very helpful staff. Nice little cafe for a snack. Sadly kids playground closed today but still had fun. Definitely worth a visit. Where else can you have a... More

Small sanctuary for horses and donkeys. Free admission. Paths hard standing so ideal for pushchairs etc. Lack of undercover areas when inclement weather. Lack of opportunity to fuss animals as lose in paddocks and otherwise interested in grazing. Small cafe to visit and relax whilst children buy a small gift to remember the day from the adjacent shop. Shop prices... More

We took a break from a long motorway journey and redwings was a good choice. Our 2 and 4yr old loved the horses and we enjoyed the coffee in the tea room. Just a shame the play area was closed for repair.

Stopped here on way back from visiting Upton House, we wanted somewhere to eat. We were not disappointed. Huge array of donkeys and horses that you could pet, great for muddy puddles too. Cafe produced exceedingly tasty toasted sandwiches and very reasonably priced. Really enjoyed this stop off and recommend it to all

We visited with our 19 month old daughter. A lovely shop, café, playground and of course the animals themselves.

Beautiful countryside setting for this worthwhile and fantastic centre which rescues and supports horses and donkeys who have been neglected, mistreated or otherwise uncared for. Lots of information about the horses and donkeys and its really interesting. The conditions for the animals are excellent and the horses and donkeys seem really to like the visitors talking to and petting them.... More

I've been a supporter of Redwings for years and used to adopt a little grey pony called Polly through their scheme when I was too poor to have my own horse. I've lived in the area for over a year now but only got around to finally visiting today! My boyfriend and I had a lovely afternoon meeting the angelic... More
