By far the best fireworks display I've ever seen. It helps that the sky is so clear it makes the fireworks more brilliant. A local radio station coordinates patriotic music to each display as it shoots into the air. Lots of us bring portable radios to the beach so it sounds incredible from all sides. We took low sand chairs... More

You can get close and personal to the fireworks. The fireworks are choreographed to music from the local radio station. It's truly amazing!

We parked at Kahle park and walked down... Easy hike. However, although we remembered to bring something to sit on, we neglected to bring jackets and were freezing before the show ever started. A thermos of hot tea would have also been welcome. There was a kid/security guard at the entrance checking for booze which he was confiscating... No booze... More

The fireworks are spectacular! We can see them out over the lake from our private beach. They have music along with the fireworks and they just keep going and going. The grand finale is the best!

One of a kind spectacular that can't be beat. Combines the serenity of the lake and one of the best firework shows on the West coast.

Every year we watch the fireworks display by boat. They are spectacular and well worth a trip to South Lake Tahoe. They begin around 9:30 pm and are non-stop for about 30-45 minutes. It is truly an evening event to be remembered.

The show was great! the only thing is that you have to get a spot on the lake at least one hour before the show. The lake gets really crowded. And remember to take a flashlight and a blanket because it gets really cold while watching the fireworks.

Party atmosphere on the public beach at South Lake Tahoe. Hoards of people got there early morning and set up for a long day. It was worth it with a long and stunning display.

I watched them from lakeside village beach where we were staying, the show there is very good, there is lots of 4th of july music blaring on the loud speakers and people waving those light wands. The fireworks are quite spectacular and there is lots of complicated fireworks that shoot in different directions, the fireworks almost paint a picture. This... More

We have heard lot on Lake Tahoe Fireworks, and wanted to see it ourselves. And finally 2014 was the Year! Where to see : Almost anywhere from South Lake Tahoe. We watched it from Thomas Beach. View was good. And there was plenty of street parking. Other free option is Nevada Beach. Few private beaches/community organize BBQ Buffet for 70$... More
