This is a pleasant place for families with young children, as the water is shallow and there's a playground structure and, in summer, a food kiosk. It's NOT a good place for adults to swim as the water is MUCH too shallow!

So much of the Lake Tahoe shoreline is built up that this long, pleasant strip of shore access is to be treasured. There are areas to walk, to sit and look at the lake, and some play grounds for children. There are various access points, some with free or on-street parking, others with a parking lot. Even with many tourists... More

This is a very nice park by Lake Tahoe. It is right at the beach with scenic views of the the lake and mountain. There are nice trees, benches, and play ground. Parking is free and there is a fair amount of parking. I was there on a November midweek day. It was very pleasant.

This is perhaps the best free beach access in the South Lake Tahoe area, free parking, nice playground, nice picnic tables. Just a few blocks west of the South Lake Tahoe-El Dorado Recreation Area (the park located right along highway 50 at the point where it turns east along the lake shoreline). This is a great spot for families!

This park was right on the beach and close to my hotel - it was nice to let my dog cool off in the lake and chase the ball. Free parking and not very crowded

They have bathrooms, a food vendor, shady trees, kids area, park benches, volley ball area and shallow beach access. We've been taking the kids here for years. Food has new ownership and is pricey but hey go for it!

Always clean, great parking, not too "touristy". Grass, sand, volleyball, dog park, great views, just a lovely, lovely spot.

Nice beach on beautiful Lake Tahoe. No fee to park or to get on the beach itself. There is a designated section for dogs, and a stone/tile path just above the beach itself to walk around without sand if you like.

We've been to Tahoe dozens of times and it seems like we make a new discovery each time we vacation here. This year it was Regan Memorial Park. We have often looked for a place to picnic that didn't require an admission fee. Regan is the perfect place. Great for families as it has a play area for little kids,... More

It is the most central view of the lake from Hwy 50 on the south shore, but one has to bring a way to pay for the nearest parking. $5 cash or card or get a fat ticket. My smart phone, jacket and bouquet were stolen at sunset concert at year ago, so I wouldn't bring much not glued to... More
