Admittedly, we were in Heavenly at a time when the Gondola was the only access to the mountain. However, even with that, the system is a mess. The line snakes around the village, with no order, people cut in and out and it is generally a disorganized mess. There is one set of ropes right by the gondola itself, admitting... More

It was pretty cold, lines were really long and the lodge was packed. Tickets were just under $170 for 2 adults n 2 teenagers to ride up to see the views. WOW kids were in awe of the natural immense beauty so glad we took the ride we created a lasting family memory the won't soon forget

Just the ride up and down is worth the expense. But, get off and walk around, see the views form the lookout spot. Relaly nice experience.

Fantastic ride , a bit on the pricey side of 45.00 for one ride. It was still worth the price for the spectacular view.

This is really well run by an excellent team - no need to share unless you want to - very long queues disappear in minutes ( our queue, right to the end of cordoned area, went through in three minutes!). The view from viewing platform (first stop) is amazing, you can have your photo taken there by a professional Disney... More

Do not care for the gondola as that area is PACKED in the mornings. We like going up to the mountain instead and taking the tram up. It's a lot less crowded and a lot faster. Plus you don't have to snake through long lines. Ugh!

I visited Lake Tahoe on about 4 or 5 occasions in the 1970s and rode the Heavenly Valley Gondola on about 2 or 3 of those occasions. Most of these visits were in the summer when there was no snow. On these occasions in the summer, we rode the Gondola to the restaurant at the top for lunch or dinner.... More

This is a very expensive attraction for a family, but a highlight for us. First stop is an observation deck with SPECTACULAR views. Then on to the ski area where there was a bit of manmade snow for the children to play in. No snow=not crowded, which was fun for us.

Rip that band aid off and do it once - just once! Best when purchased in conjunction with a ski ticket if there is snow.

Why over priced per adult at $45.00, i mean to go up the mountain and back down to see the view, Even the workers there know its way way way over priced. children under 4 are free though, never again.
