We hired a 7 seat boat for half a day and took to the lake ourselves. The check in experience was painless and we were given a good introduction to the boat. We set out on the lake with no issues and found the boat easy to use. We even braved entering into Emerald Bay making sure we followed the... More

We were on Shark 1 for our recent parasailing adventure and we did two tandem rides with our children aged 10 and 12 who like us loved this. The guys on the boat were excellent offering great advice and really going the extra mile in making the trip a great memory. They clearly love their jobs even at 9.30 on... More

We rented a power boat - got there around 9:15am and quickly checked in, without a reservation. Their staff helped us out of and back into the marina, so that made things much easier. The boat is clean and in great shape. You do have to pay for the fuel (~$100 for our a little over 3 hours drive, but... More

If you have an hour, parasailing is the best way to see Tahoe and have a great time. Ski Run Boat Co. is a very well run outfit, from beginning to end. We were on shark2 (boat name) today (8/14/13) and had an excellent crew. They were fun, safety oriented and really knew their jobs. I would go up with... More

We rented a speed boat and an inner-tube to tie to the back of the boat. We planned on being out for an hour but it was so fun that we stayed for longer! The staff that helped us rent the boat was extremely friendly and very informative. You could tell that they love what they do and they really... More

We rented a speed boat for our family for 4 hours. There were 12 of us so we took turns (2 hours each, which was plenty) on the boat. The kids loved being dragged in a blow up boat and the adults had fun water skiing. Even though it was pricey, everyone had a great time and it was the... More

Had a great experience with both the front office staff and the guys down at the dock. They gave straight forward explanations of how to use the boat and were clear on the risks and their consequences. This is not a cheap experience, but the costs are clear with one exception. Expect a dock fee of about 8.5%. The boat... More

We had a blast. Went with teens/college daughters. It was $300 for the four of us. There are discount coupons which we did not find, but use them if you can locate them. We went in June and just thoroughly enjoyed our time. They played some really nice music on the ride in/out. It was a first for my youngest... More

My wife had never been parasailing. She is afraid of heights so obviously it is not the best of matches. But hey, we are'nt getting any younger (I'm-64 & She's-58) so she said "Parasailing over Lake Tahoe...HELL, LET'S DO IT!" We close the maximum height (1,200 foot line which puts you up about 500/550 ft.) It was spectacular! Lots of... More

Went parasailing and had a fun time. The guys on the boat were professional & friendly. The boat had a good sound system & music collection although you should let them know what you like. Initially we let them choose but their taste ran more to elevator music. No problem - on request they were happy to play something more... More
