We went on a Sat & Sun. It wasn't too crowded. Especially on Sunday. And weekdays there is barely anyone there. Great for families

This is a gorgeous beach that is family friendly and not too cold to swim in Lake Tahoe at South Shore. There is such beautiful vistas of the mountains and great place to build sand castles and bring a picnic, chairs, and sunscreen. I would always recommend this beach to anyone.

Very crowded during peak season but they do have a sandy beach in which to enjoy. I much prefer the more secluded Baldwin Beach which also has kayak rentals and access to Emerald Bay.

We went on a Saturday afternoon and boy it was crowded. We actually had to wait 30 mins to park in the parking lot, as they were doing a 1 car in 1 car out type thing. Once we got in we parked at the very end of the parking lot, which is about a mile from kayak and SUP... More

Water levels are quite low this year and Pope Beach offers some the most family friendly beach area at South Shore. We were able to rent paddle boards and thoroughly enjoy ourselves while spending the day at Tahoe.

I have a family of 4, with 2 small kids. We rode our bikes along a beautiful and safe bike path from Anderson's Bike Shop. Free to those coming in on bikes. There happened to be a little taco truck type setup there that sold ice cream, nachos and coffee, etc.

It's hard to say anything bad about a Tahoe beach! The beach and the bathrooms are clean. The few tables are nice to have if you can get to the beach early enough to snag one. The water is sparkling clean and clear, but you have to hike out quite a ways to swim because it's pretty low this time... More

This is a wide and long beach with great views of the mountains. It is a family oriented beach that does get crowded. There are SUP and kayak rentals, as well as grills and picnic tables. Bathrooms are clean.
