The trip was pretty boring and not worth the money. You can see the lake just fine from the shore or from the gondola. Also. It's way better to drive over to emerald bay then take this super slow boat. 2.5 hours is just way too long with far to many people. We did see a really cool speed boat... More

If you get a chance, take the dinner cruise around the lake, food great, wonderful views, can't wait to do it again.

We recently spent a week in one of the most gorgeous places on earth - Lake Tahoe, Carson Valley and surrounding areas. I decided to treat my husband to a cruise around the lake on the paddleboat, The Tahoe Queen. Its a lovely back in time kind of experience. When you board, you have the option of sitting inside or... Decided to do the dinner cruise, but wished we had not as we boarded. We were seated on the main floor at our assigned dinner table, which was nice except for the heat. It was so hot and stuffy in there, and being we are from Florida, we are actually used to the heat....but this was really bad. Had to... More

Pros: Nice relaxing way to get on the water. A nice two hour trip to emerald bay and back. You get a nice little history lesson of the area. Food on the boat is reasonable price (you do get gouged a little bit) but it's not too bad. 2 hours is just about the right amount of time to be... More

The scenery on the lake from the boat is beautiful. BUT...The way this venue is run is upsetting. It starts upon arrival at the site. Even though we purchased our tickets online and printed the receipts, we (and all others on our bus run by the venue) were required to stand in line to pick up "tickets" and then we... More

My husband and his friend wanted to do something nice for us wives during our trip to Tahoe, so they decided on the dinner cruise. The trip is from 6-9pm and costs $80 per person! It was nice and all, but I definitely wouldn't spend that again. We were greeted with champagne upon boarding. The dinner was buffet style: salad,... More

Yes, for the most part you are in the "middle" of the lake heading for somewhere. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - what is there not to like about the views? The check in line is stupid - over 40 minutes while they photograph everyone getting on the boat! Love the circle drive around Emerald Bay, but... More

The cruise does provide good scenic views but it is not the best way to spend 3.5 hours(2.5hrs for the cruise, 1hr to find parking and get in line) but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have absolutely nothing else to do! I would recommend doing a couple of hikes and the gondola ride for the views.

I cannot believe what experience this was. My family and I took a mid-week vacation to Tahoe in celebration of my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary; the Tahoe Queen being the big dinner celebration to end our visit. We made reservations on Easter Sunday (3 months ago) just to be certain that we'll have a table for that day. Upon arriving... More
