My husband and his friend wanted to do something nice for us wives during our trip to Tahoe, so they decided on the dinner cruise. The trip is from 6-9pm and costs $80 per person! It was nice and all, but I definitely wouldn't spend that again. We were greeted with champagne upon boarding. The dinner was buffet style: salad,... More

Yes, for the most part you are in the "middle" of the lake heading for somewhere. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - what is there not to like about the views? The check in line is stupid - over 40 minutes while they photograph everyone getting on the boat! Love the circle drive around Emerald Bay, but... More

The cruise does provide good scenic views but it is not the best way to spend 3.5 hours(2.5hrs for the cruise, 1hr to find parking and get in line) but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have absolutely nothing else to do! I would recommend doing a couple of hikes and the gondola ride for the views.

I cannot believe what experience this was. My family and I took a mid-week vacation to Tahoe in celebration of my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary; the Tahoe Queen being the big dinner celebration to end our visit. We made reservations on Easter Sunday (3 months ago) just to be certain that we'll have a table for that day. Upon arriving... More

“Did you ever wonder how the lake was formed or its history, as far who were the first people arriving and occupying the region?” “I have or maybe I’m just weird….” We have been coming up to Tahoe for quite a long time. In the winter, we would make the trip up to enjoy the snow and other outdoor activities... More

I am not sure it is worth the time or money. Most of the time spend riding to get to emerald bay. Not much. I have seen better bays. They try to care it to a Fjord. Only who has never been to Scandinavia and have not seen the Fjord will buy it. I believe driving to emerald bay and... More

They have a Mark Twain impersonator that had quite a few bad jokes. Perhaps a more intelligent naration would have been better. The ride was nice with a nice ride through the beautiful lake and inside Emerald Bay. The boat wasn't too crowded and for a weekend maybe the crowd was a bit thin. Perhaps the cost was a bit... More

A very nice, enjoyable lake cruise. They deliver on what is promised, a lake cruise to emerald bay and back. Left at 1:30 and arrive back at 4:00. Had a beautiful day on the lake. Guide talked throughout the cruise, pointing out different changes in the water and wildlife. Saw a bald eagle and nest. He pointed out other birds... More

Reserving the Tahoe Queen was a bit of a last minute decision as I originally was planning on just showing my dad Emerald Bay via a drive. But when my cousin mentioned about the Emerald Bay cruise, I decided it would be a nice treat for my picture taking loving dad. We did the scenic Emerald Bay cruise on the... More

The boat is nice and roomy. Sails smoothly but that is the best part of the trip. None of the shore is visible from the lake so the boat just goes on a long circle. Much is made of Emerald Cove but cannot be seen even from the front of the boat. If you want a relaxing afternoon and don't... More
