The wagon ride is lots of fun with a great tour guide to the historic buildings in the area. It's a little bumpy ride and a pain trying to get someone on the phone to make a reservation. But all in all it was a great experience.

My family took the 1-hour ride which was about enough for an inexperienced rider. The horses were well-adapted for the environment and the only issue was beyond the staff control. There some loud hikers on the normal trail so they took an alternate trail. The alternate trail happened to be occupied by a momma black bear and her two cubs.... More

These are well cared for horses. Nice trail ride geared toward the riders ability. They worked with our timeline. Our guide was a great conversationalist and it was like riding in the woods with a friend. You need shoes with a slight heal and jeans.

We did the 2 hour ride up to Fallen Leaf Lake as a group of 2 adults and 4 kids, the youngest being 6. The horses were very calm and the leader of the group was very friendly and told us a lot about the area as we took a meandering stroll through some beautiful scenery. The approach to Fallen... More

My son and I had a blast. Our guide Wes, was very patient with my 10 year old and all his questions. He pointed out local sights, plant life, talked about regrowth after a fire several years ago as well as the changes logging has made to the area.

This place is a gem but make sure the road is open because the road runs under areas that are prone to avalanches.

Typical stable with some mild manned horses and some with a little attitude. My 5 year old cousin got the ride of her life when her horse decided to break away from the pack and take off. It all ended ok. My son got to ride a donkey when they ran out of horses. The trails are beautiful.

We went on a 2 hour ride during a our annual girl's trip. The horses looked very healthy and well-cared for. The ride was spectacular. Every bit of the trail was beautiful. We rode to Fallen Leaf lake and had pictures taken. One of the riders on our group got sick during the ride and someone from the corral came... More

My husband and I are not experienced riders and our horses were a little rowdy for our comfort. He was behind me (in the order that the staff put the horses in) and his horse nipped my horse on the behind. They both took off for a little ways and we were a little uneasy about that, not being that... More
