Not only is Camp Richardson Corral a third generation owned and managed operation of love and pride, our family has made it a tradition of our own and frequent this incredible equine establishment as much as possible. The summer and fall trail rides with spectacular views are a staple for us and when mother nature allows, we love the cozy,... More

Staff was very friendly. Horses were clearly well cared for and very docile trail horses. Trail is beautiful - slight inclines and forested. Nice view of the lake at the top. Tour guide Allison was sweet and informative. Highly recommend this activity!

If you have ever done a quality riding experience you will be terribly disappointed. They were rude and indifferent from the moment we made the reservation til the end of the ride. The place is dirty and run down. The bathrooms are terrible. The advertised 55 minute ride was 35 to 40 minutes with no apologies. There was no asking... More

We completed the 55 minute trail ride today, it was a wonderful experience! Our guide Wes was great and helped us throughout the ride, our group had 5 riders total plus Wes. The views were gorgeous! We even heard a tree fall! The horses are sweet and great for riders with "minimal experience" (like myself). When you arrive, you check... More

Every year for the last 5 years, we have done the one hour trip, and every year it's been an enjoyable ride. The horses are tame and know where to go on the trail. Per the staff, the same family has owned this concession for 80 years, and three generations. Helmets for children are available upon request. For the first... More

Nice ride with my sons at Camp Richardson Corral. We did the 2 hour ride and the horses were calm and the ride not challenging. The views in the forest and along the lake were great. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I remember this corral as a young man when my parents would come to Tahoe every summer at Meek's Bay. This is a wonderful venue for your kids and adults. Take time for a ride, you'll enjoy it!

When you enter this place, it gives the impression of being quaint, and well maintained. The staff that greet you are friendly, knowledgeable, smiling, and willing to help. There are so many horses at this corral, and the staff invites you to take the time to greet them as you wait for your trail ride. I chose the extended ride,... More

First of all, make sure you make a reservation for this place. One can not just show up and hope to ride (at least we and another group of people could not). There is a 6 year old minimum limit for kids and a 225lb limit for adults. The horses are well behaved and follow one another. It is a... More
