Nice ride with my sons at Camp Richardson Corral. We did the 2 hour ride and the horses were calm and the ride not challenging. The views in the forest and along the lake were great. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I remember this corral as a young man when my parents would come to Tahoe every summer at Meek's Bay. This is a wonderful venue for your kids and adults. Take time for a ride, you'll enjoy it!

When you enter this place, it gives the impression of being quaint, and well maintained. The staff that greet you are friendly, knowledgeable, smiling, and willing to help. There are so many horses at this corral, and the staff invites you to take the time to greet them as you wait for your trail ride. I chose the extended ride,... More

First of all, make sure you make a reservation for this place. One can not just show up and hope to ride (at least we and another group of people could not). There is a 6 year old minimum limit for kids and a 225lb limit for adults. The horses are well behaved and follow one another. It is a... More

We took our grandkids (ages 3 & 5-1/2) for their first ride on a horse. They got "Pony Rides" because they are both under 6 yrs of age. That means they rode Cognac, who has recently retired from trail rides. She's a gentle horse & very patient with young children. Miss Becky led Cognac around a 1/2 mile loop on... More

This place is not to be missed! If you are looking for a lovely afternoon, this is the place to be. The Beacon Restaurant offers up tasty food as well as their famous Rumrunners, They feature live blues/classic music outside on the patio. You have the marina with many water type sports and excursions available. The swim beach is wonderful,... More

Came here for a two hour ride with my granddaughter. The staff was friendly and our ride left on time. We rode to Fallen Leaf Lake but it was super windy so we didn't get to stay. This is a trail ride but there are some open spots and meadows so you can spread out a little from time-to-time. We... More

My wife and I took a 50-55 minute trail ride with Camp Richardson Corral, which was our first experience riding horses. They seemed to choose the horses that you ride based on your experience and physical size, and told us that most folks that come for the horseback riding have no experience riding. This was one of our trip highlights... More

I love the Beacon even though it is full of people and tourists. The food was really good this visit and the Band they had playing was great too. Love the live music. The kids had fun in the paddle boats too.

We took children ages 6-13 on a family ride. The only downside was that we had to break up the group since there is a limit of 6 in a group if you have children. There is also a 225 pound weight limit. The hour long ride was perfect. Our guide took the time to stop and take pictures of... More
