This place is not to be missed! If you are looking for a lovely afternoon, this is the place to be. The Beacon Restaurant offers up tasty food as well as their famous Rumrunners, They feature live blues/classic music outside on the patio. You have the marina with many water type sports and excursions available. The swim beach is wonderful,... More

Came here for a two hour ride with my granddaughter. The staff was friendly and our ride left on time. We rode to Fallen Leaf Lake but it was super windy so we didn't get to stay. This is a trail ride but there are some open spots and meadows so you can spread out a little from time-to-time. We... More

My wife and I took a 50-55 minute trail ride with Camp Richardson Corral, which was our first experience riding horses. They seemed to choose the horses that you ride based on your experience and physical size, and told us that most folks that come for the horseback riding have no experience riding. This was one of our trip highlights... More

I love the Beacon even though it is full of people and tourists. The food was really good this visit and the Band they had playing was great too. Love the live music. The kids had fun in the paddle boats too.

We took children ages 6-13 on a family ride. The only downside was that we had to break up the group since there is a limit of 6 in a group if you have children. There is also a 225 pound weight limit. The hour long ride was perfect. Our guide took the time to stop and take pictures of... More

We took out kids ages 6, 9, and 12 on their first horseback ride adventure. We did the hour long ride. Our guide was wonderful and told us about each of the horses. She was very patient with our son who has a few sensory needs.

The wagon ride is lots of fun with a great tour guide to the historic buildings in the area. It's a little bumpy ride and a pain trying to get someone on the phone to make a reservation. But all in all it was a great experience.

My family took the 1-hour ride which was about enough for an inexperienced rider. The horses were well-adapted for the environment and the only issue was beyond the staff control. There some loud hikers on the normal trail so they took an alternate trail. The alternate trail happened to be occupied by a momma black bear and her two cubs.... More

These are well cared for horses. Nice trail ride geared toward the riders ability. They worked with our timeline. Our guide was a great conversationalist and it was like riding in the woods with a friend. You need shoes with a slight heal and jeans.
