Everything in the area was well kept and the scenery is lovely. Be sure to call about tours and times before you go. Visit the gift shop they have fun affordable items.

I was doing the Emerald Bay half-marathon and part of the course took us through it - a little village, very historical, all wooden buildings, on the shore of the lake, very relaxing, although their toilets were closed! Would have liked to have relaxed and wandered as opposed to me haring it through as part of my race! Worth a... More

Well, I didn't realize that this was a historical place that people actually go where to visit and meander about. I just thought it was an event venue! We actually came here because a family member had a wedding held here. The grounds sit on the shore of south Lake Tahoe, and the views are spectacular! There are cabins that... More

This is a prime example of how beautiful construction and craftsmanship can last a life time. This house is exquisite. Fantastic history.

Our family loved to check this historical place out. There are a lot of nice little places around the trails at Valhalla that are just worth seeing. You would love the historical places and the little gardens around the trail

This historic Viking styled hall is beautiful. Went to look at it as a possible wedding venue and I loved it. It has so much character.

Walking around Valhalla is a wonderful, peaceful experience. What a life these people must have lived! I enjoyed seeing the quarters provided for all the "help". It's hard to imagine all the preparation and care that was required! Aside from enjoying the grounds and the shore of Lake Tahoe, I attended a play at the boathouse theater put on by... More

We visited this site, as well as several areas nearby during a day trip. Great opportunity to see the true history of Lake Tahoe and the true beauty of what it was like to live there in the 1920's thru 1950's.

Not a lot there but is a good place to visit. It is a good look back of some of Tahoe's history and some of the old family homes from a bi-gone era.

The sites and camp grounds are lovely. I love this area of Tahoe and have attended many Valhalla Renn Fairs here. Excellent.
