The history on this place was very interesting, but you need to book on the tour to get that. The first part of the tour is organized and the story of Valhalla is told. After that you are free to wander about for as long as you like. Great place allow 1-2 hours.

The location is gorgeous and the structures and their history are interesting. Relatively short but steep walk down to the building so wear comfortable shoes.

This is part of the California State Park System inside the Tallac Historical Site. It is a place that may be used for weddings, meetings and special gatherings. It was not open the day we visited

Purchased tickets for a Bay Area blues band performing at the Valhalla Boathouse. The band was excellent, but an an unannounced arrangement had been made to allow local family members to "dance" in front of the stage during the band's performance. My wife and I eventually went outside to enjoy the music without the visual distraction. Call ahead for any... More

We went there for a play presented at the Boathouse Theater. We were surprised to find such a very nice small theater in a refurbished boathouse. A sloped floor with theater type seating and very nice small stage. We saw a presentation of "On Golden Pound" by a local theater group. It was VERY well done and the actors were... More

First time and we enjoyed it. Do wish it was larger with more vendors and adult beverage vendors. Loved the jousting.

Another one nice piece of local history. The place is well kept for generation to come and see. It can be easily overlooked if you do not know it is there.

I went to a wedding last weekend at Valhalla. This is the most beautiful setting for a wedding I have ever seen! Inside and out, amazing. The ceremony was perfect in the old lodge, with large fireplace in front. Stonework.... old wood floors.... and the outdoor lawn area with tables for guests was unbeatable. The view of sailboats on the... More

We are guild members and were there all weekend, had tons of fun interacting with the patrons! Lots of entertainment, food and drink. Interesting arts, crafts and costume vendors.
