We took the cable car to/from the Glacier.. It was cold and the whole place was covered with snow. There was a round platform as lookout point. Jiu Zai Gou was amazing, but the views here is a notch higher. Blanketed with thick snow in April. Even had a chance to see a Tibetian village and have tea there. I do not know how without a tour can you get here, felt super remote. The altitude is really really high, half of my tour group couldn't take... More

We went there on the way back from Huanglong/Jiuzhaiguo to Chengdu. The road to reach the Heishui, or the town where the hotels are, is a bit scary, rockfall from steep hillsides is waiting to happen, but we made it with no problem.
