Went here in the middle of the afternoon on a Friday and there was almost no one at the park. In fact, the staff were gone for Friday afternoon prayers so I didn't pay an entrance fee (sorry!). It's even more peaceful because it's set back from the main roads, so there's little traffic noise. And yet, it's easy to... More

At the Nature Park we saw a large troop of macaque monkeys, monitor lizards, mud skippers, lots of butterflies and a number of birds, so this is well worth combining with a visit to the fireflies. Access is easy along level paths. Best to go early in the morning when it is not too hot and the animals are more... More

I enjoyed my three-hour outing at the nature park. We came across mudskippers, dusky langurs, macaques, a brahminy kite, a monitor lizard, skinks, crabs and a wild boar with her piglets. Due to our inexperience in spotting wildlife, most of the times we heard the rustling of movement only to miss whatever animal that had gone into hiding! I find... More

The park is well designed and a very pleasant walk. Wear mosquito repellent. Monkeys congregate outside the park, along the road and in the parking lot. Too many people are feeding them and trying to pet them. Most monkeys are willing to hang out for the food, but it's not a good idea to try to get too close. Some... More

We stopped at Batu Caves first, then the monkeys - and since eagle feeding and fireflies. We got some food for the monkeys and had brought extra peanuts just in case. The monkeys are friendly, but they do crawl/jump up, and the first time a monkey landet on my shoulder I was fairly scared! But it just sat there eating... More

One of the highlights of my trip to KL. Feeding the silver leaf monkeys might be a tad touristy, but it was a blast. The monkeys are a bit aggressive for food, but they're docile and won't hurt you. It's fund to have them crawl all over you as you feed them. The firefly tour is a must see. There... More

we went to the nature park as part of our visit to kuala selangor. it was advertised as a great place for bird watching, however, we hardly saw 3 types from afar. instead, we had to look down to avoid stepping on poop in the walkway. it was hot and tiring, and we barely saw any animals. our only consolation... We came upon this park by chance on way to the Lighthouse and we were so glad we did. It costs only RM 4 each and is well worth it for the chance to see some amazing wildlife free-range. The staff gave us a short talk about what we would potentially see in the park and gave us safety advice.... More
