My colleagues and I went to Ilocos Norte for a convention. After the business side of the trip, we made an effort to go to the famous St. Augustines Church (Paoay Church). It's so amazing to see that until now, the structure is still there for a long, long time although the insides of the church had some renovations and... More

Eating a bowl of Lomi in front of Paoay Church is priceless. This is the best church I've seen so far in the Philippines. The structure is magnificent and well preserved. The local government should ensure the cleanliness of the place. I saw garbage at the side of the church. I wanted to go up the tower but the security... More

There are many beautiful churches in the Philippines. This one is unique because of its age, the design of the church, and the preserved state it is in. More

It is one of the tourist attracions in Ilocos Norte. The church is in Paoay which is just 5 to 10 minutes drive Batac, where, the Marcos Museum & Mausoleum is located. The church is difinitely worth visiting if you are visiting the north provinces of the Philippines. More

We had spent three nights in Laoag, and headed south to Paoay. Upon driving down the road, we came into the village of Paoay and saw the Church with its striking bell tower to the side. We parked across the street in a small parking lot by the park and restaurant, and walked to the church. The outside was amazing... More

One thing I appreciate with this place is that, it became a world heritage site in Philippines. It's so historical and just looking at it outside gives you an idea to search and know it's history more. More

St. Augustine's Church is also called Paoay Church. It is a very beautiful church. It is very old. It made me feels as if I was taken back in time. It is surrounded by manicured grass so green that it makes the church grey pop. I have not seen this kind of church before. It has a rather unique shape... More
