Mesmerising, breath-taking, amazing, awesome - just some of the words...

Mesmerising, breath-taking, amazing, awesome - just some of the words our visitors use when they talk about RSPB Bempton Cliffs. Around a quarter-of-a-million seabirds - including gannets, puffins, kittiwakes and razorbills - flock here in spring and summer to raise their family. Six, cliff top viewpoints give spectacular views of the nesting seabirds and the dramatic coastline. The new seabird centre at the heart of the reserve tells the story of the wildlife on the cliffs and why it makes it home here.

In autumn and winter, when mists fall and winds blow, a clifftop walk can be a truly experience.

RSPB Bempton Cliffs - one of the truly unmissable British wildlife spectacles.

Made a flying visit to Bempton Cliffs on my way home from a break in Scarborough. This reserve is much improved from our last visit. The bird spotting is much the same but facilities are better including cafe and toilets. Wheelchair Access is also much improved. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.

We were greeted with a warm friendly welcome on arrival. The views from the bird spotting area are amazing. The paths were uneven but there was plenty to see and do. The local ice cream is lovely and you can get the RSPB badges to support the charity. The toilets were clean and there is a well stocked gift shop... More

Had a amazing day at Bempton today. Granted most of the seabirds are not there at this time of year, but it's still a great place to go. From walking through the door the staff could not have been anymore helpful and welcoming. People were friendly pointing things out and while I did not myself spot any porpoises there were... More

Interesting at any time of year but especially in the spring and summer when the gannets, puffins, razor bills and guillemots are in residence. An awesome sight, sound and indeed smell.

Visited in June 2015 whilst staying in Bridlington. The attraction is managed and run by the RSPB who have a team of employed and volunteer personnel brimming with enthusiasm for the birds and environment. They are very welcoming and able to provide any information required. Apparently the centre has been recently rebuilt, this being evident in that its clean and... More

Lovely cliff walk and good to see lots of sea birds( mainly gannets, no puffins at this time of year). Can get very windy so pick the day you visit carefully. Dogs allowed on a lead. There are toilets, a small cafe and a shop.

A very friendly welcome and explanation of what we could see was a great start to this visit. A walk along the cliff path to a viewing platform to see breeding Gannets with their young was outstanding. It was made even more interesting due to the presence of an expert in the study of Gannets who explained much about Gannets,... More

The RSPB centre has been extensively rebuilt and extended and, it is a pleasant airy space with a café and a shop. There are informative and educational displays about the work of Bempton Cliffs and the RSPB. The cliff paths are well-maintained and the walks at this time of year are bracing; there are walks for every level of fitness... More

Mainly well known among bird lovers for large Gannet colony and Puffins as well as a host of other more usual species in the breeding season especially. Still plenty to see outside the breeding season with a very informative reception area to meet the needs and interests of young and old alike. Refreshments served - good family day out.
