Mesmerising, breath-taking, amazing, awesome - just some of the words our visitors use when they talk about RSPB Bempton Cliffs.More than 200,000 seabirds - including gannets, puffins, kittiwakes and razorbills - nest on these cliffs, turning them into a seething mass of activity in spring and summer. And in autumn and winter, when the wind whips the sea into a cauldron of foam and spume, a clifftop walk is guaranteed to blow away the cobwebs. No wonder RSPB Bempton Cliffs has been described as one of the truly unmissable British wildlife spectacles.

Fabulous scenery - for walkers completely free. Thousands of birds and some expert bird-watchers willing to give advice. Miles of walks in both directions - car parking available too at a price - well worth a visit - and once been, you will want to return.

I love it here! The ground is a bit uneven with no proper footpath so wear sensible shoes. The car park is small so get there early :) as you walk along the cliff tops you can hear the birds and the sea... It Really is so calming. There are various viewpoints so you can see the birds easily my... More

Have been to this site on a number of occasions. It is breath taking in parts and the information centre is excellent with very informative and helpful staff.

I have already uploaded a good selection of photos, taken from the top of the cliffs, to show the outstanding views. It was mid/late-summer when we visited and a lovely sunny day. Lots of gannets and other birds were nested in the pale cliffs. The walks begin from the visitor centre and go in both directions. We visited the viewing... More

If you are looking for somewhere truly breathtaking then this is it the views are fantastic and the birds are just out of this world. The viewing points are well maintained and give the best view points you could ask for. The car park is a bit expensive but if you take into account the whole experience it's cheap at... More

Although currently closed due to major improvements (new visitors centre, etc.); you must visit when you can. Wonderful views, majestic seabirds, interesting wildlife, etc., etc.

We've been a lot of times and the bird life on view is always stunning, Gannets, Razorbills, Guillemots and if you time your visit right you'll see puffins as they've breeding colonies there! They're doing the visitor centre up at the moment (due to complete early 2015 I think) so the reserve is a bit out of action but we'll... More

The Bempton Cliffs nature reserve, four or so miles from Bridlington in the East Riding of Yorkshire, provides an astonishing spectacle, for there, between April and August in six miles of 300 ft. chalk cliffs, nestle and breed 200,000 seabirds of almost every kind and in winter there are buntings, sparrows, finches and owls. The cliffs are indeed home to... More
