Went at the end of our day in Filey used a voucher from a leaflet in our accommodation so parked for free. Good accessible paths for my disabled son and we were able to access three of the cliffs to witness the wide variety of seabirds on the cliff face. Only one puffin on view but more to follow according... More

I went to Bempton after attending the RSPB members week end in York. A fairly sunny day but with a brisk breeze along the coast. It was ideal for watching the sea birds cruising along the cliff and zooming and soaring out over the sea. Well worth spending a couple of hours there. Fairly well stocked small shop for RSPB... I didn't count the birds, but I saw plenty, and they were awesome! I visited hoping to see the puffins, and they didn't disappoint. The wonderful volunteers from the RSPB had set up their telescopes so we could see these fabulous comical birds at very close quarters. An unexpected treat was observing the gannets, impressive and majestic with their six... More

The RSPB reserve and the cliffs are magnificent, with lots of seabirds returning to breed, as well as farmland birds in the well-managed fields. There is a long walk along the cliffs, and in the brilliant sunshine we had, it was a marvellous place to be.

Well worth a visit all staff polite, courteous , & helpful. The views were breathtaking, the cost of parking is minimal, unfortunately on the day of our visit it was cold & very windy & at the time of year not all species of birds were there. We would defiantly go again

Thanks for the great review. But just wanted to make it clear to the world that the smell wasn't the drains! The smell of the guano produced by the thousands of seabirds can be strong. But it's all part of the very special Bempton Cliffs' experience - the sounds, sights and smells of Seabird City. More

Spectacular views, lots of birds (despite it being a bad time of year), well signed, helpful staff, everything you'd expect of an RSPB reserve. The only disappointment was the lack of a hide at the bird "restaurant" area, and even with subdued clothing and sneaking up, it was near impossible to observe birds there.

What a lovely experience! Friendly staff. Dog friendly. A lovely walk for anyone and the views are amazing. Well worth visiting. Wrap up warm on winter though and wear hiking boots as a bit muddy. But well worth it.

We were lucky with the weather the week we spent in Bempton but as a result we visited RSPB Bempton Cliffs three times. We took the 2 spaniels with us (dogs welcome on leads) and were able to walk for miles and watch the birds at close quarters. The views along the cliffs are superb and the opportunities for photographs... More
