We used this restaurant every day when we stayed at the MacDonald Leila Playa. It is literally a 2 minute walk along the boardwalk from the resort. Very friendly staff and a decent menu. The fish kebabs, sardines and grilled rosada are particularly good. Also try and see the Flamenco on the Sunday evening. We went not really knowing what... More

Well, what can I say! This Boardwalk has made an enormous difference to Calahonda! Today was warm & the Boardwalk very popular indeed! We strolled to La Cala for lunch and then strolled back, having refreshments at the Garden cafe. What a good job by Mijas council! Kept clean as well with pride in the workmanship - could learn a... I have heard that Playa de Calahonda should be a lovely beach but as we always come by car, we have not yet found an empty parking space convenient enough to walk the remaining distance to the beach. A sign to the beach would also be welcome as the first we see is a private gate.

Perfect beach to walk and breathe the breeze marina in the winter of the Costa del Sol. If you dare, not much wind, you can even swim in October and November.

At last, the approach ways to the beach are being cleaned up, tidied and made presentable - and not before time! The beach itself is quite small but it is well-maintained. The new boardwalk, stretching all the way from La Cala, is nearing completion at Calahonda and, I believe, it will continue on towards Cabopino in the near future. This... More

Not really a patch on the nearby beach at Cabopino. However , much improved by the opening of La Luna Beach Bar run by the owners of Andy's Beach Bar which is only a 10 minute walk along the beach away. Calahonda beach needs more facilities and a lot of TLC . For an urbanisation the size of Calahonda the... More

This has been transformed from a run down and quite sad place to a modern thriving attraction with the chiringuito completely rebuilt virtually, and also now with live entertainment too, since the owners of Andy's bar from the adjacent resort of Cabopino took it over. Also the local Mijas council are in the last throws of completing a disabled friendly... More
