I visitied 'The North Somerset Butterfly House' in early October. It was like a little bit of the exotic! The staff was fantastic: very welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable. The butterfly house, while small, was worth the money. It was great fun finding the butterflies and caterpillars. I took my little baby in our pushchair. The house was easy to navigate... More

I decided to go to this attraction after reading other reviews. Everyone was spot one with saying it was well worth the visit. It is a tiny attraction but there is so much going on. Lots of butterflies, terrapins and stick insects to see and spot. My 4 year old grandson was more interested in finding caterpillers and we struggled... More

Took my little one year old boy and we both loved it! Only small but just right for little ones. Massive butterflies and awesome Terrapins that you can feed. Had to strip baby down to his nappy before we went in but that was fine. (Wasn't told to... it's just really humid in there!) Really recommend it

A very wet day outside but dry inside!! Lots of butterflies to spot. My grandson enjoyed feeding the terrapins. My son & I enjoyed talking to Pete who is Steve Backshall's bug man. We managed to spot a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis stage. Free parking & a tea shop next door. We passed an enjoyable few hours thank you... More

Can highly recommend the North Somerset Butterfly House. It is truly a hidden gem. The gentleman in charge was very knowledgeable & nothing was too much trouble. He took the time to explain everything to the girls. I can't wait for our next visit.

If you have even the slightest interest in butterflies this is a must see! Bit difficult to find but worth the effort. Staff extremely friendly. Very warm/hot inside so dress in layers! Beautiful foliage inside with more butterflies than I have seen at other butterfly houses. Gorgeous colours, so many varieties - and are so very close to you. Wish... More

This was something we were looking forward to visiting and it didn't disappoint. We parked outside the attraction for free and received a warm welcome from the man attending the reception desk whom we believe is the owner. He gave us a quick brief of what to look out for in the butterfly centre and had displayed signs near to... More

A wonderful selection of exotic butterflies in a tranquil environment. You can see their life stages from caterpillar to butterfly and watch them dancing around. Plenty to see, from the moment you go in, there are butterflies all around. There is also a pool with turtles and beautiful tropical plants. Wear something light as it is really hot there. You...
