This lovely butterfly house has a large population of many types of butterfly, presented in attractive surroundings. It is quite hidden away, however-you have to walk through the conservatory showroom and past a café to reach the entrance. Well worth it though. My mother and I visited in the recent warm weather, and it was extremely humid and oppressive in... More

Thanks for your review. The Butterfly House is indeed a hot environment, but we strive to keep it as cool as we can in very hot weather. The heat in the Butterfly House is often easier to deal with than the heat outside on a hot day because inside there is no risk of sunburn. To witness the spectacle of... More

We loved this place. Not huge but full of butterflies and turtles. Takes about 30 minutes to wander round, sit down and relax a bit, and then wander again, taking beautiful photos along the way. The owner is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about them it's infectious! Only problem is that once inside the car park there are no signs pointing... More

Thanks for your review. I'm sorry that you felt that there was not enough to see and do at the Butterfly House. The majority of our visitors are surprised that there is SO MUCH to see and do in our greenhouse (which is one of the largest Butterfly Houses in the UK). Many visitors choose to spend an hour or... What a great visit. The butterflies were stunning and all around you. Amazing. The owner provided information sheets which were easy to understand and interesting. The knowledge and enthusiasm were very evident. We will return.

Came here with a groupon at 1st couldn't find it as its tucked away behind a conservatory show room. The staff are very friendly and chatty they explain all about the butterflies before you go in and encourage you to spot as many types as you can and to ask if you have any questions. Lots of lovely butterflies and... More

I went with a friend and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of beautiful butterflies inside. The staff were really friendly and chatty, and clearly knew so much about the butterflies and flowers inside, which made it even more interesting. There is also a lovely, really reasonably priced cafe just outside, and due to the staff allowing re-entry at the... More
