Visited with my husband, cousin and her fiancé. Bit tricky to find as tucked away round the back of the garden centre and conservatory sales area. Once inside found the man on the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. Quite pricey really but I imagine it is expensive to maintain the environment so can understand this. The butterfly house... More

Visited for the first time today, butterfly house is small but there is so much more to see than appears initially. Good to spend a couple of hours, we stopped off when travelling home from our holiday. Staff very friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. To make the most of it, dress expecting the heat of the environment and make sure... More

If you love butterflies as I do, you will love this place ! It's a small but perfect place to get up close and personal with the array of beautiful butterflies. The staff are so knowledgable and very friendly. There are plenty of benches to sit and watch them, it's very warm so don't wear a coat ! Will be... More

Had a few hours to spare while staying in the Cadbury Hotel. Decided to visit the Butterfly House five minutes on foot. Not huge but enough space to sit and enjoy the heat and watch the Butterflies all around you. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic owner chatted about the Butterflies and his plans and for the business. You can return as... More

This is a great place to visit. It is run by a genuine butterfly enthusiast who has created a superb environment for butterflies from Central and South America

Quite a short experience but really lovely lay out, love the wooden bridge. Lots of beautiful butterflies to find hiding in the foliage.

haven't been to a butterfly house for several years, and had forgotten how hot and humid they are. while there were quite a few butterflies and caterpillars to be found, there didn't seem to be very many different varieties in there. maybe they were so well camouflaged that i missed them. i did enjoy the terrapins in their water feature... went for a visit and found the staff very helpful and informative. It is warm but your ticket allows you to come and go as you please. Can also recommend the cafe next door as well. There were lots of different butterfly's and caterpillars. There are signs attached to plants to show you where the caterpillars are.

Great place for a quick visit. Right next to Cadbury Garden centre so made for a good day out. Lots of amazing butterflies and Terrapins in lovely surroundings. We went on the last day before they closed for the winter, and will be going back again in the summer.

We visited on 29 October 2014, with two young children, 6 and 10. They enjoyed it very much and we would recommend it. It's part of a day out, as a visit for around an hour. We loved the family, very friendly, and their passion for the Butterfly House.
