Took the kids today and spent almost two hours (with bobbing in and out to cool down) inside the butterfly house. The kids loved spotting the caterpillars and the chrysalis as we wandered around but the magic was spotting and identifying the different species of beautiful butterflies. We got a chance to talk to the owner and we're really impressed... More

I take my 8 year old granddaughter and she did enjoy the butterflies, very friendly staff give my granddaughter information on what to look for. So from that point of view it was good ,but I felt it was a little bit expensive for a Family as it is only a big greenhouse,( I appreciate it may be expensive to... More

I'm very sorry that you felt that the Butterfly House was too expensive. We are still one of the cheapest tourist attractions in the area (especially as your ticket allows you in and out all day). We feel that the price is extremely reasonable for what is in effect a day visit to the tropics. A Cinema is also just... More

Very humid and warm but the range of butterflies was worth it. Very friendly welcome with great advice. Lovely touches such as heating glasses before entering, not had at other places. Worth going, taking a break at the coffee shop and then returning as there were so many butterflies to see.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but Groupon were offering a family visit for £10 - normal admission for a family is £15, so we thought we'd give it a try. It is a small place but easy to spend an hour there. Much longer if you chat to one of the very friendly and knowledgeable members of staff, stop... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. There were many species of butterflies and caterpillars. I enjoyed chatting with one of the keepers who had lots of knowledge and experience to share.

We went here today with our two children aged 6 and 9. It's a lovely place, different to our usual trips. The owner is really friendly and helpful. £15 for a family, but we had a groupon for £10 - not bad for a nice and different experience. Kids coloured in a butterfly picture - this was free, we then... More

A small venue but well presented and lots of butterflies to see. A humid environment so you wont need a coat or jacket inside. Prices are reasonable but wouldn't want to see them any higher. Helpful staff. A pleasant way to spend an hour or so, Will go again later this year to see the different butterflies.

My wife and I have been to many butterfly houses, zoo's and wildlife places over the years but seldom have we been greeted with such knowledge and enthusiasm. The staff made this an exceptional visit for us with their personal, one to one attention . We did not seek out the staff, they were just keen to tell us about... More

We visited the butterfly house for the first time today and really enjoyed it. Our 3 & 5 year olds had a wonderful time, we bought them the sheets of photos of the butterflies for 50p and they absolutely loved wandering round spotting the butterflies on their sheets. The butterflies are really beautiful and there are plenty of cocoons and... More

Such a hidden little gem. Lovely way to spend a rainy afternoon. Suitable for all ages... Although more suitable for the more mature visitor. Butterflies are beautiful and it is wonderful to see them up close.
