Take your time and your camera! The selection of butterflies is amazing and it's a wonderful way to spend and hour or so looking at these fabulous little creatures. There's even a 'crib sheet' to help you identify each butterfly.

Took a couple of teenagers and a younger member here on a rainy day. We stayed about an hour and had a load of fun trying to spot the caterpillars and photographing the butterflies. They all had fun and were quite enthralled by it all. Strange but it was a real little gem in the hidden depths of congresbury.

This is somewhere we had been meaning to try for some time as we only live just up the road, and eventually got around to it as a result of a Groupon deal. I’m not sure quite what I was expecting, but it was really very good. Certainly a great range of colourful butterflies flitting around all over the place,... More

Kept grandchildren aged 6 months to 8 years interested and happy for an hour or more. And their adults enjoyed it too. Pete "The Bug Man" can provide fascinating information in an age approriate way to children and adults. There are activities outside the heated area for children who get too hot inside, and you can drop in and out... More

A fantastic experience, well worth the drive from South Wales. The staff were extremely well informed, enthusiastic and very helpful answering many questions. Excellent value for money will definitely visit again.

Another enjoyable visit to the butterfly house today for my sons (10 & 6)! Thank you! We've been visiting since it opened a few years ago and my sons never tire of watching the butterflies and choosing their favourites. They also love searching for the caterpillars - especially the ones that look like bird poo - and watching the terrapins.... More

We were so glad to use a half price voucher as it took us 30 minutes to have a good look round. Our grandchildren (11 & 8) liked the large butterflies but felt there was a real lack of information about breeding, conservation diet etc. There seemed to be very few nectar giving flowers available on the day we visited... The kids not matter the age will love this place. It's a work in progress but that feeling makes it feel all the more organic and authentic. The curator was just incredibly passionate and knowledgeable and the ten minute wait to get his full attention was totally worth it. You will love this place. I promise you
