Next door to the Cadbury Garden Centre hidden behind a conservatory sales office is a really nice cafe and the butterfly house. We were really surprised, because it's a great place to visit, very hot in the house so you might need to retreat to the cafe occasionally, but what a collection of butterflies, they are everywhere in all colours... Visited this attraction looking to do something peaceful and a bit different with my boyfriend on saturday the 18th october, we hadn't previously known it was there due to it being hidden away and not really heard about. It was a brilliant day, it only costs around £5 each for adults to get in, and £3-4 for children. This is... More

What a fabulous place. This visit was a gift from the family for our 30th wedding anniversary. I didn't know the place existed before but so so glad we have had the chance to experience the many butterflies fluttering past our heads and even landing on my arm as we sat on the seat taking it all in. Fantastic atmosphere... More

I went yesterday with my daughter and 13 week old granddaughter. The lady on duty was very friendly and informative. It is a lovely place to visit and a pleasure to watch the baby's reaction to the butterflies. It gets hot in there, obviously, so half way through we went out to the art display area to let the baby... More

Don't be fooled by the odd entrance through a conservatory showroom: just go round the back, past the cute coffee shop and there is the North somerset Butterfly House....a high point of our trip to Somerset. The owners were so lovely and knowledgeable and our daughter didn't want to leave, she kept going back in to see more amazing close... More

Doesn't look too attractive as you enter but it is wonderfully well laid out with seating which is lovely for just watching butterflies fly all around you. There is a waterfall and pond with terrapins that my great grandson loved. He so much wanted a butterfly to land on him and just as we were walking to the exit a... More

Excellent little place and well worth a visit. Pete the owner was very welcoming and took lots of time to explain all about the butterflies. We and our 4 year old has a ball and will be back in the future.

It's hard to make a butterfly house seem more than just a large greenhouse with fruit and a pond, but they've worked wonders here. Hidden away, past what seems to be a conservatory shop and a Coffee place, is this miniature haven. They've used the space imaginatively, with a bridge and some seating areas to break up the walk. There... More

Bought this through amazon local and from the moment we entered to the moment we left we were in awe of the peace and tranquility. It is so refreshing to find somewhere where the operators have so much passion and enthuse so completely about what they are doing. It is such a shame that many people don't understand what they... A great visit - magical, with lots of gorgeous butterflies fluttering around your head! Informative with flyers. A great crysalis bank to watch emerging butterflies. A pool with terrapins. A cheap afternoon out, esp. With group-on deal. The man running it is passionate and full of information about our UK butterflies, too! Extremely knowledgeable. We mixed our visit with a... More
