Loungers and parasols to rent - close to the water. Clean beach and clean water. Really nice to bathe in.

This is a great unspoilt beach with lovely water. But towards the far end be aware that parking meters accept only coins not notes, even though it is up to E1.80 per hour. The café next to the best parking wasn't any help. Even though we bought some drinks and food, they refused to give us some coins in the... More

Wonderful to stroll along the peaceful beach of Baratti very early in the morning. Great to come here before everybody else arrives and enjoy the wonderful setting of this place.

Wouldn't recommend the beaches. I may be ok if you're in the region. However, if you look for really nice beaches, go to the Maremma region. The beaches there are just fabulous. In addition, the authorities tend to exploit tourists. I got a 50 EUR fine for parking on the wrong spot on the parking lot despite the fact that... More

Best thing about this beach is the fact that the sea gets deep within a few metres so it is perfect for swimming. The negative is that this is not a sand beach and it isn't a pebble beach, it is kinda a weird mix! but still it is a lovely beach!

Found this place by accident on our way to catch ferry to Elba so we came back to it later in the week. Lovely warm water, with sandy underfoot and waist high water. Further up beach you can hire canoes and pedaloes. Nice harbour with cafes

We visited Baratti beach during the summer 2012, we stayed locally ( Park Albatros ) decided to try as another holidaymaker had recommended. The beach has a " rustic" unkept feel but is absolutely beautiful in every way, gently shelving, nice warm water, little beach huts serving food/drinks. You can rent most water sport items from the huts also. The... More

I was suggested by a friend to visit this beach to break the journey from Pisa to Rome, and I'm happy to have followed his advice. The beach is inside a natural/archeological park, there are paying parking spaces and guards enforcing the limits. The beach is large, a little dark, like it's common in Tuscany, the sea warm (in July)... More
