We moved to the Mount to be near this beach. Has a good mixture for all water enthusiasts - safe beach, surf, fishing, seafood. The sand is fine/white and the beach has nice sand dunes breaking the skyline form the housing. Best of all unlike most nice beaches, it doesn't have resorts crowding it.

Actual beach. Actual sand. Best of both worlds. Different every time. Big waves. Picture perfect. Sit down. Ice cream/coffee - whatever floats your boat.

This is a great beach to walk on. Its clean and beautiful! It has so many shells on it, I was in love. You could spend hours just walking this lovely beach. Do it!

We were at this attraction just before a major storm was to hit New Zealand, so it was very windy and the waves were awesome. We walked the entire length of the beach, people watching and enjoying the surf. There is a row of small places to eat just above the beach, so stop for a snack and then head... More

It is well worth the hike up the hill for the view, not to mention the exercise you will get. It's even better if there some hang gliders taking off from the top and, if it's a nice day and you're up there late afternoon / dusk too, then you're in for a treat with the sun setting over the... More

Golden sand, good surf & plenty of room at this beach. Clean & with good life guards. Walk 5 minutes & your on the port side of this beautiful place. The port side is good for young family,s as the water is shallow & smooth. Good restuaurants along the front of the beach & a great walk around or up... More

This beach is a great place for families, as the beach is long and wide. There are great waves for the surfers and body boarders alike.

Great white sandy beach with many restaurants and cafes close by. Make sure while you are there to Salk the mount you will not regret it.
