We have visited on nighly guided tour lighted by hand-held lamps. But I recommend to see it in daylight because of impressive views and the strategic position. Kids will love to roam among towers and passages.

Incredible castle built in the 1200's. Outstanding views of the Golan.

Although the exact historic origins are unclear (Muslim or Crusader), the site is very impressive because of its elevation and view. I think one of the best historic sites in northern Israel. If you are driving around the Golan Heights, this is a must.

The national park is very well maintained and the proposed tour through the castle is well signed and accurately described on information panels and the handout, providing also further historical and cultural information in Hebrew and English.
