We have visited on nighly guided tour lighted by hand-held lamps. But I recommend to see it in daylight because of impressive views and the strategic position. Kids will love to roam among towers and passages. More

Although the exact historic origins are unclear (Muslim or Crusader), the site is very impressive because of its elevation and view. I think one of the best historic sites in northern Israel. If you are driving around the Golan Heights, this is a must. More

We stopped by Nimrod Fortress as an afterthought while hiking in the area, and it ended up being one of my favorite places of the trip. It takes about half an hour by car from Kiryat to get to the Nimrod Fortress.
