We knew about Inhotim for some time, not only because of a NYTimes article and so we planned to spend a full day. This was not enough, if you love delving into new experiences including botanical wonders as we do. Inhotim offers 22 outside art objects, 22 galleries (some of the buildings are art objects themselves), and 14 botanical highlights... More

Inhotim is the imagine of paradise on earth! This place is magical. Its atmosphere, gardens, pavilions... Ok, the artworks may not be my favorites but the whole thing it is an unforgettable experience. Bernardo Paz has became my idol....I had heard that he was called crazy when he talked to friend about his project/dream. But he didn't give up. He... More

I had never heard of this place before and when i went to stay with a friend in Belo Horizonte he wanted to take me to see it. If you go here ensure you take the buggy option because the park is HUGE and you'll save time (and energy) jumping into the buggy and getting driven on the long stretches... More

Must see museum and garden! We thought that 1 day was more than enough but states 1,5 day enjoying al art and beautiful landscap. Two restaurants, one kilo and one fixed buffet. Take care! Many of The snackbars on the map are closed! But luckely there are a lot of waterpoints. We specialy liked the red room.

what else can I say. YOU MUST GO!!! Fabulous. Have never even heard of anything like this. We got there 11am Saturday , spent the night at Belo Horizonte pousada. Surprising visit, beautiful landscape, lots of 'palmeiras', good restaurants, good coffee shop, interesting green (or blue?!) lakes. 60 Km from Belo Horizonte, way of São Paulo city. Mandatory stop when in Minas Gerais (MG). Tuesday, except holidays, with free admission.

this is the most extraordinary contemporary art collection, not only in terms of the works of art but also in terms of the beautiful location and very successful collaboration between artists and architects. the restaurant is also outstanding!

The place is beautiful from the nature point of view. It is great from the artistic point of view. And it is unique in Brazil. So, don´t wait to visit it. Plan to spend the day. Have lunch there and rest on the lawn afterwards (believe me, you will need to rest, after a real meal from Minas!)

From beginning to end this was a great experience. World class sculpture (I think!) in beautifully landscaped grounds, nice restaurants too. We took a full day but another 1 or 2 would have been better
