There is no other place in the world like Inhotim. The small town of Brumadinho is ugly and dirty, but follow the signs to get outside of town and you will find yourself in a giant garden oasis that is as impeccably maintained as Disneyland but full of thought-provoking and often bizarre, but always interesting, contemporary art. You will wander... More

I spent two days visiting Inhotim which was quite a surprise, although I had been told it was a wonderful place. The landscape which resembles a lot Burle Max work is magnificent for the amount and combination of plants as well as the hardscape, with huge local stones paving the ways through the galleries and outdoor sculptures. The maintenance of... More

Inhotim is a great place to spend a relaxing day with family, friends or a significant other. It is a natural park and an open air museum at the same place. After 1 hour in a dusty road from Belo Horizonte, you reach an oasis with green grass, palm trees, lovely flowers and clean lakes full of colorful fish and... More

Very cool if you are into contemporary art, and even if you are not, you will still enjoy it. Amazing installations and settings for these large scale works. A mecca in the jungle!

This is an interesting location, where his founder put together a beautiful, well maintained and design by one of greatest brazilian landscape designer, with a very well selected art work, including sculptures, painters and large installations. An afternoon there is a great experience for all the senses, including the taste for the good fod that is served in their small,... More

What a contrast with the scenery on the way there from Belo Horizonte! Inhotim is a gracious, spacious park that is immaculately maintained. There are 16 art galleries scattered through it, each dedicated to one artist or one theme, and some containing only one work. Some of the galleries were art pieces in themselves. And there are sculptures spread between... More

This is a one-of-a-kind place. It looks as if it had come from a dream; such is the beauty and attention to detail. Not only the art expositions and galleries are exquisite. The landscape is gorgeous and the restaurants are fantastic. Spare at least 2 days to visit.

Inhotim is very impressive for the gardening and landscaping and of course all the modern art installations and pavillions! We saw the whole museum in 2 days. I think it's enought time but keep in mind you will walk quite a bit in those 2 days! We didn't get the R$20 option per person, for inside transportation, so we did... More

If you're going to Belo Horizonte you cannot miss this museum! There was nothing bad to say about it. World-class, quality art installations, set in an exceptionally manicured natural setting. It's so big (The largest in South America I gather), in all likelihood you won't be a will to see everything in one day. My wife and I recently went... More
