Owner description: Walk NZ’s longest swingbridge before taking part in a range of activities from high speed flying-fox rides and jet boating to more leisurely strolls along the Faultline loop walk to view some of the site’s fascinating geological and historical features. The loop walk, for instance, encompasses the famous White’s Creek Faultine, - epicentre of the 1929 Murchison earthquake, where the ground rose 4.5m (15ft), historical goldworkings and the chance to look for gold on the river banks. The flying fox is suitable for all ages whilst the jetboating is one of the best runs in NZ.

Fun walk over the bridge. Good info boards on the short loop walk re the earthquake in that location in 1929. Worth the stop.

We stopped here thinking it was free. It is not. The price to just cross the bridge and walk a track on the other side was NZ$5. There were other things you could do that were basically zip lining or panning for gold at additional cost. We decided to just cross the bridge and walk the track. The bridge was... More

We only stopped here briefly on the drive to the west coast, so the $5 charge for the bridge and loop walk was reasonable. Considering my fear of heights, it was quite pleasant, not too swingy! Some interesting birdlife spotted, too.

We were a little surprised to find you had to pay the fee before even seeing the swing bridge! On recommendation of some customers leaving as we arrived my son and I also booked the zipline for the return trip. All the staff were lovely. The short loop walk was all we had time for and the worn info boards... More

We arrived on Saturday morning, 11am, having overnighted in Murchison. Quiet time, springtime NZ. The weekend staff lady was very helpful and gave us advice on where to go and what to do. We wanted to do the Jetboat, but she said it wasn't operating yet as it was too early in the season. Quite understandable as demand would be... More

The bridge is fun to cross and we went on the hike to the waterfall - that's definitely worth $5, but considering that I paid $210 for both of my sons to do the Rotorua zipline for over 2 hours, it really was not worth $60 for them to do one tandem flying fox.

The swing bridge was fun however I thought the zipline ride was a bit ho hum, not at all like the adrenaline rush the young guy promised us when booking. The cost was very high for a small ride, I certainly wont be stopping here again. On the day we went we were told that the jet boat wasn't work... More

Its not cheap but lots of fun for kids of ALL ages. The swing bridge is exciting for all ages & good for conquering any fear of heights for most. There were a number of international visiting students who had varying degrees of timidity but all had fun that we saw. The flying fox was the icing on the cake... More

After we did the exhilarating and fantastic one hour yetboat trip, we decided to do also the zipline back over the river. The distance was average compared to other zip lines, but we felt that the price was rather high for the type of activity. The fun part was that you could go together which increased the speed somewhat. The... More

We planned a day trip to Buller Gorge from Motueka but saw on the internet that jet boat rides weren't normally run outside the summer months. Being mid-autumn, I gave them a call and spoke with the jet boat operator. There were nine of us interested in a jet boat ride so he said he'd go and check the water... More
