While it may be further away from the main attractions-- this area of the island is nice and safe with beautiful homes and delicious restaurants. Our vacations were the Dinghy Dock Bar and Mr. B's.

Daniels by the Sea, a great place for our 24th wedding anniversary. Special attention from the waite staff and romantic dining right on the water's edge. Many great restaurants to choose from in the area. Love casinos? Westin is right there and a treasure to visit where you'll find Ruby Bute's magnificent paintings in the lobby which depicts much of... More

This was my favorite beach on the island right on Oyster Pond. The staff on the beach will take your drink orders and bring them right to you. It is not overcrowded and very beautiful. I love this beach!!!!

I feel guilty praising oyster pond that much.....we have gone twice in april and we find it quiet, charming and unassuming. We have stayed in a private villa each year and found it to be safe, convenient and fun! The first year we cooked quite a bit, but this year we ate out a lot more. Our favorite Oyster Pond... More

Gorgeous spot right near/on border of the French and Dutch sides. Lovely spot for walking, enjoying homes and lush foliage and flowers. Access to restaurants and Captain Oliver's actually allows you to cross the border when you walk in the restaurant!

We just came back from St Maarten and loved our stay in Oyster Pond area. At first we were not sure if we made the right decision but as we explored the island, we've learned that this is one of the best areas to be in. It's absolutely beautiful! We felt safe and so at home. There are some nice... More

Located away from it all. Its quieter in Oyster Pond, yet there are a lot of restaurants nearby. Not many hotels/resorts. Its a quick drive to Orient Bay, Anse Marcel, and Grand Case. Once you learn the roads, its easy to get anywhere. Rent a car! Located on the border was nice because you have french influenced restaurants so close.... More

Chartered a Catamaran with FCY from Oyster Pond and decided to stay at the beach bar for some pizza afterwards. The Pizza joint is excellent and the grocery store has excellent fresh pastries and baguettes! Would have liked to dine at Canoa
