We were informed by an employee at the Queen Elisabeth Botanical Park that tours through this were closed and did not know when they would be available again.

I think this place was super neat, I have rarely seen so many animals running wild somewhere. Usually they are all caged up. Not here. I guess we missed the sign to stay a long way away from the Iguana's. We had two huge Blue Iguana's spit at us and chase us. Scared my wife to death. The rest of... More

On our family trip we were looking for something fun for all ages and different than the beach and tourist things. This was a great way to spend a couple hours, learning about iguanas in general and the blue iguana species specifically. We got a behind the scenes tour of each iguana area to see where they live, breed, etc.

We enjoyed this tour and seeing the iguanas and learning how they are trying to save them. Easy to get to the park and going on your own helps you to see and hear and read what you want.

What a fascinating way to spend a couple hours. Alberto is a great guide and really showed us his passion for helping the blue iguana species. We were taken behind the scenes to the area where the iguanas are bred and allowed to grow before being released. Bring a hat, sunscreen and water, as there is very little shade on... More

We took the tour one afternoon. It was very informative. Got to see iguanas of all ages. Our guide was very knowledgeable. I would recommend that you where bug spray. We were bitten quite a bit. Afterwards wander around Queen Elizabeth Park. It's quite lovely.

I wasn't sure this tour would be worth the $120 it costs for a family of 4, but it was one of the highlights of our trip. Even the teenagers enjoyed it immensely. We saw many iguanas in the program and 2 or 3 in the wild. Watching their territorial behavior was quite interesting. Alberto is a great guide; it... More

My family of 5 went on the tour with Alberto. He's great and it is nice to talk to him. It isn't a highly eventful tour but going on the tour ensures you that you will see some blue iguana in various stages of maturity. Plus it helps conservation of this species. They are very cool to see IRL. The... More

4 of us (ages 30-53) visited the Blue Iguana Recovery Program, and it ranked up there with one of our favorite parts of the trip. Our guide was Alberto, who was great! You could tell he really cared about the iguanas, as well as the other wildlife on the island. He was very knowledgeable about the animals and the program,... More

We arrived at the QE II Gardens on the Sunday between Christmas and New Years to discover that the Blue Iguana Discovery Tour is every day at 11 am except on Sundays and major holidays. Initially disappointed, we decided to tour the gardens instead and to see if we could get lucky and spot some blue iguanas in the process.... More
