A group of us did the trip on the ferry last year and thought it was great, so we did it again this year and it was even better. We saw Damselflies, Dragonflies, Moorhens, Swallows and even Kingfishers flashing down the river while listening to Reed Warblers. Peter, who navigated for us was very informative and good fun to talk... More

Myself and my husband went on the first trip of the day and we were very lucky to have got the boat to ourselves. Even though the weather was overcast the trip was very peaceful and there was plenty of dragonflies, ducks, swans and even a kingfisher to keep us entertained. Theres a canopy over the boat so youre sheltered... More

Couldn't believe how idyllic this trip was! So quiet, so relaxing and so beautiful throughout the length of the trip. We could have been in another country we seemed so far away from anything else. The boats driver was extremely friendly, accomadàting and so knowledgable . the price was extremely reasonable. I would recommend this trip to everyone.

This is the second trip on the Grove Ferry and we had a fabulous time. We hired it for my 50th and were able to have a total of 12 guests including ourselves. Very relaxing. We took on a buffet and drinks and they had decorating the vessel. They are very accommodating.

I was looking for a boat trip to take my two foster children on and found this on google. I emailed them and they reserved me 4 spaces. Lucky for us nobody else was on our boat so it was just the 4 of us. The driver of the boat was very friendly and knowledgeable. He pointed out lots of... More

What an ideal way to spend time with mother nature and away from the crowds. I don't think you can appreciate the peace and quiet until you have had a trip like this. Tranquil, calm, and the chance to see some wildlife denied other than on the box. A must and also a must go back again

Part of the Kent Big Weekend promotion, my partner & I took this highly enjoyable trip upstream from Grove Ferry towards Fordwich on the River Stour. Despite recent snowfall, cold wind & very much less-than-sunny conditions, we both thoroughly enjoyed our smooth potter on the river - the boat can be totally enclosed in adverse weather. The views were atmospheric... More

We recently had an hour’s trip on the river Stour on this lovely little boat. The boat is moored at the rear of a character pub which serves great food. We had a trip up and down the river and the friendly pilot gave us an informed and interesting guide to the sights as we made our way along. Even... More

A quiet trip along the Stour on an electric boat, viewing kingfishers and other birds. My wife and I had a trip on our own last year and this time we took three grandchildren. We were on the 5pm trip – which is recommended as this is the last and they usually do a longer trip – for the same... More
