Laiya Beach is a long stretch of beach with plenty of resorts to choose ranging from no rating to 5 star rating. Do canvas first prior to booking to avoid inconvenience. Some resorts do not have 24 hour restaurant so you have to bring your food to cook while others offer at a very high price.

Before you head to the beach, do pass by the San Juan market. There's plenty of local fruits of the season, fresh tuna for grilling, the delicious puto! and tamales, pinipig, and do not forget Batangas coffee (ground or beans).

I brought my family and friends to Laiya, San Juan Batangas as recommended by a friend of an in law. It was a long drive from Manila but short enough for 15 people to enjoy in such short notice. The beach sand was white and clean, the water was clear and temperature was cool throughout the day even if the... More

If you are looking for a place to unwind but do not want to travel beyond Luzon area, Laiya would be a good option. Clean and clear, good for swimming. You just need to pick a good spot or resort. Better to gon on a weekday as weekends are usually crowded.

I am a traveller and I have been to so many places here in the Philipines but this is the most horrible beach resort I have ever been in my life and I would never ever recommend Moonlight Beach Resort in Laiya. We went here last sunday May 3 2014 for a group of 14 and we're all disappointed on... More

Water good for swimming. Hotels and resorts available for groups and couples. Not so much activities going on but you can do banana boat, jetski, snorkeling. Jetski operated by strict staff at 4,500pesos an hour. Food at La Luz resort is better than Blue Coral which has a set of menu you don't wish to go back to at a... More

Beach isn' the greated. Sand is rocky and coarse but it's just 2.5 drive away from Manila so not so bad. I've stayed at 4 different resorts and experience varies on each visit. I still would keep coming back as long as water stays clean.

Beach is clean and not too busy. It is also not commercialised which we prefer. Lovely people. Glad we came.

Beaches in Zambales is better (if you are from Manila and looking for a weekend getaway with no plane ride involved). It is not actually white sand as other people claim it to be, rather small pebbles that could be painful to your feet when you're walking barefoot.

A great option for a beach that is accessible by car. It was a long drive out to Laiya from Manila - we left Manila after breakfast and got in for lunch. Took a day-trip package at Virgin Beach Resort and almost got the beach to ourselves. It was a great getaway from the crowd. There were a few other... More
