Owner Description: A fantastic farmyard day out for the whole family! We took our 2 year old grandchild to this activity farm for a day out. There is plenty for little ones to do but if it rains you are very restricted. The tractor rides were not working due to the ground conditions but a bit of hardcore and investment on the track would allow this popular ride to continue -... More

We visited here with our two young children (aged 3 and 1). It was a fantastic day out with so much to do to keep us busy. The children fed ducks and goats, held chicks, stroked rabbits, collected eggs. It was a very hands on day out. Outside of the animal attractions there is also a playground, soft play, tractor... Aesthetically this farm wasn't promising but as we walked around with our 1 year old, we were pleasantly surprised by the range of hands-on activities we were all able to enjoy. We handled a chick, stroked rabbits and, goats and piglets. He toddled around in the soft play area and climbed the hay stacks. We fed a calf with a... More

Longdown Farm is a good way to spend a few hours with younger children. The price is £8 per child and £9 per adult so it is a considerable amount for a family, but overall represents good value compared to some places you go and have finished looking round in half an hour. The children love the half hourly animal... More

Joined the grandchildren for a day exploring the Activity Farm, on a very wet and windy day. Luckily lots of attractions inside and plenty of places to bring your own picnic. We played outdoor table tennis in the rain with their funny rubber balls. Free face-painting was excellent. We attended most of the animal feeding times and the baby animal... More

Great place for youngsters under 5, I think the older one would be bored. Food choices very limited but plenty of benches for picnic. The best bit was baby animal encounter.

The staff are very helpful and knowledgable. Nice to see young faced staff. A great shop at the end - meat cheese and veg. When we went it was raining. The negative was there is nowhere to seek shelter, certainly not to picnic - there should be a shelter barn for that. Also negative with the rain was that the... More

We feel very lucky to live only a 20 minute drive away from Longdown Activity Farm, it's such a fantastic day out with so much to do! The variety of farm yard animals are exceptional and my 2 children (ages 4 & 7) enjoy feeding them! We have been visiting the farm since my youngest was just a year old... More
