I took my 8 year old and his friends in July for his birthday treat . It was a very hot day and a little smelly but that did not stop us from having a great day , the kids loved feeding the goats and pigs and my son has been talking about the experience long after. The other great... More

I visited this farm with 4 adults and 2 children. As soon as we arrived we were directed to the area to bottle feed the baby goats. Soon after we queued for a short time (10-15mins) to hold a chick then stroke some rabbits. While we were queueing there was lots of chickens and ducks to look at. As well... More

We visited last week. Sunny warm day. I was a bit apprehensive as i am in a wheelchair. Visits to other farms were not successful. Arrived at the car park to find a " disabled parking space" (Other spaces were used by people not displaying badges.reflection on other people not the facility) There was a kennel for you to leave... We visited this farm the last week of August a family of 4 (£30). Unfortunately we all, left disappointed the farm is looking tired and could do with some work (yes I know it's a working farm but if you advertise an activity farm then it really should be one) Animals lots of ducks, chickens, goats, pigs but not a lot... Yes we do call ourselves an Activity Farm and I can assure you that is what we are, with over 200 goats to feed and more than a hundred hungry pigs, 20 calves waiting for their milk ( each one consumes 2 1/2 litres of milk at each feeding time) a selection of 100 chicks to hold, even our 100... We visited earlier this month whilst camping nearby, with our toddler. Have to say he LOVED the little ride-on tractors outside, and going on the go karts with his Dad. The indoor play area was also very popular, although could probably do with a lick of paint. Unfortunately we missed the tractor ride - perhaps these could run more frequently,... More

Thank you for your constructive comments, and we are pleased that your young son enjoyed his visit, however we are somewhat surprised that you only managed to see the ducks and chickens when you visited the farm, if you walked just a little further there were over 200 goats that you and your family could feed, and around the other corner... I went a few months ago with my friendship and I think they would agree when I say we enjoyed it. The animals were adorable and the tractor ride was enjoyable. The only slight thing was that only one of the go carts were working. Apart from that… ANAZING!!!

We visited Longdown Activity Farm today and as the name suggests it is a FARM !! I am very annoyed at people who have given this great place a bad review it is does not have a massive indoor play area for children but it is a a FARM where children and adults alike get up close and personal with... Thank you for this very realistic contribution. We have noticed over the last few years that some of our visitors compare Longdown Activity Farm with large farm parks which have turned into Theme Parks, as this contributor rightly points out Longdown still remains a farm, and we welcome visitors that appreciate the opportunity to be in close contact with real... Living local to this place, we go about 4-5 times a year. I have to say, it does get better each year which is a bonus. Perhaps its just as the children grow up and can interact more and understand better. We have not long got back from the latest visit which is the one i shall review. We arrived... More

We visited Longdown activity farm today with my two young children (4&5) On arriving slightly late we thought we had missed the calf feeding but the friendly lady at the entrance told us we could continue round there and take part. The children enjoyed this immensely and was followed up straight round to the small goats to feed them a... More

We thank you for your observations which I have passed onto all the staff, we are proud of our team at Longdown as they work extremely hard therefore it's rewarding when one of our visitors take the time to mention them in their contribution to Tripadvisor. It does seem that your family came to the farm to join in with... More
