Owner Description: A fantastic farmyard day out for the whole family! Join in with a daily schedule of hands-on activities such as bottle-feeding kid goats and calves, baby animal encounter where visitors can hold baby rabbits and chicks, and pig feeding too! Don't miss the brilliant tractor ride - it's very bumpy! (weather permitting). There are lots of friendly farm animals to meet, and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor play equipment too, including trampolines, a soft play area with ball pit, and the Farmer’s Straw Den! Tea shop, gift shop, free parking. Don't forget to visit the Longdown Farm Shop for delicious locally sourced produce.Useful Information: Hands-on activities all day for the whole family. A lot of areas and play equipment are under cover, but on wet or cold days, wrap up and bring wellies for the ch ildren. Sorry, no dogs on the Farm – free, lockable kennels are provided. Open daily 10am – 5pm. 16 Feb – 3 Nov 2013. Longdown Farm Christmas Barn opens in December. – the rest of the Farm will be closed.

I Came here with my wife and 2 year old son for a fun day out and left feeling slightly disappointed. Firstly, the farm seemed to feel slightly run down and was shabby in places. I appreciate its a farm not a shopping centre but it felt like it had seen better days. I was surprised at how small the... More

Recommended to us by our 3 year old neighbour "take your children" she said...."they'll have lots of fun" and she wasn't wrong! Granted, the sun was shining, which I dare say helped, but our little boy (18m) loved it! Here were lots of animals to see, and although we missed the feeding of the animals, there was still lots to... More

Our 2 year old enjoyed this, being able to get close and hold animals, he had a very good time But as my title says, large school parties do tend to spoil it a bit , far too many of them at times

I have mixed opinions of Longdown. As an adult I'd rate it about 2 stars but my daughter loves it. So.... Negatives... •cafe - awful. Cold soggy sandwiches or the only hot food is panini or sausage roll that you have to microwave yourself - disgusting ! Do NOT eat here • it's a bit of a concrete jungle and... More

We bottle fed baby goats and calves . You can hold chicks , it's a lovely Easter day out... More

I took my 7 and 5 year old children here last week. On arrival I thought we wouldn't be able to kill much time here on a cold day. I was wrong. We were there for 4 hours. They have the schedule set up well. There were 4 school groups of "high vis-kids" but they keep them away from the... More

Grey rainy day but we had a great time, little one fed goats with a bottle and pigs through a chute. She held a chick, stroked a rabbit, brushed a goat, bounced on trampolines, enjoyed soft play. There is enough indoor stuff to keep you dry. Tea room is not brilliant but OK. All in all really good.

What a great place, not only can the children see the animals they can interact with them. Feeding the goats, ducks and pigs and others. There is a play area with swings and slides, picnic spots and a family friendly tea room. Altogether a great day out for both adults and children.

Harry had a friend from school stay with him for the weekend. Today he took monkey to visit Longdown where they enjoyed a great afternoon taking part in all the activities and play areas available.
