Good value, if you have a deal

They pack a lot into a small space and my family were happy to spend all day there. It was Father's Day so I was free. So it felt like ok value. Got to be honest though it would... read more

I absolutely adore animals, especially baby animals, so I was over the moon to visit the farm! The weather that day was lovely and we spent a good 4 hours walking round the farm and taking part in the feeding activities! We bottle-fed kid goats, pet chicks, rabbits and calves and observed the newly born piglets. The farm was very... More

My boyfriend and I visited Longdown Activity Farm last week as were camping for the week at the nearby campsite in Ashurst. The farm itself is set out well and provides easy access for wheelchairs and buggies. Great place to take children (although we werent with any) and there was a local school visiting while we were there - lots... More

We are pleased to hear that this contributor enjoyed the day at Longdown, although we are slightly surprised that they felt that there was not 'much for adults to do' with over 150 goats to bottle feed and 22 calves eagerly waiting for their milk, plus chicks and rabbits to stroke, even the hungry pigs and ducks and of course... Thank you to everyone at Longdown for another lovely day. We were really looked after very well in the heat. The activities kept our class of 23 children amused and engaged for 2 hours. We loved the new adventure playground as well. Well worth a visit. Thank you to Kerry for a great tour.

Having visited Longdown many a time as a kid i was very excited to resist it with a family friend and their children. I am pleased to say it still lives up to my expectations. The children loved it especially the petting barn, they loved being able to hold the chicks and rabbits. They also loved the tractor ride which... More

They pack a lot into a small space and my family were happy to spend all day there. It was Father's Day so I was free. So it felt like ok value. Got to be honest though it would have felt expensive had I of had to pay for the whole family at full value. I would go again with... More

We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your 'full day' at Longdown, even without a 'deal' we do believe that at £30 for a 'full day's' entertainment for the whole family, is fantastic value in it's self, after all this contributor did agree that his family enjoyed the whole day at Longdown. We hope to see you again soon,... More

There was a range of activities from the trampolines to the park to feeding the animals ( the goats were a scream) and handling the chicks / rabbits / goats. A pleasant experience made even better by the fantastic attitude of the staff who couldn't do enough for us. On a value for money basis, and on all other fronts,... More

My sister took myself and my 18 month old to the farm today and we loved it. She has been a few times and loves it. We were able to feed calves, kids, pigs, goats and hold a chick, stroke a rabbit and brush a goat. It is a wonderful interactive farm and one of the best I have been... More

Aided by the fine weather of the day, we enjoyed holding chicks, feeding goats, stroking rabbits, marvelling at piglets and calves, riding a tractor, enjoying a reasonably priced bite to eat and clean changing facilities. Finding an egg just laid by a chicken was the icing on the cake - what a lovely spot. Perfect for a picnic too (and... More

There's plenty of places for a sit down after you have had a wander around and the... More

We visited during a weekend with grandchildren - they enjoyed the small animals, egg collecting etc, but I was sad to see how run down it was looking. I visited quite a lot a few years back, and the changed was very noticeable. Everything looked so scruffy and in need of a general paint and tidy up. However the staff... More
