amazing to hear the waves in the forest

A really nice place, easy to acces due to the boardwalk. And the outlook is close as well, a nice shady place but the boardwalk was quite short.

Good to stroll around and get some fresh air, especially over the water on the boardwalk. Mangrove boardwalk is currently under construction. Did not see viewing jetty. The jagah is adamant about not bringing bikes into the area, so park it outside at your own risk!

Really nice place to visit on Ubin with many different ecosystems in one area. The walk around Chek Jawa does not take too long and is a great addition to the island

Take a trip to Chek Jawa, Pulau Ubin for a walk down memory lane. Easy to get to (just head for the ferry terminal at Changi Point) and take a bum-boat across for S$2.50 per person. There will be drivers waiting just as you disembark to take you to the northern tip of the island. Price is about $20 and... More

Well worth the effort - the bike ride wasn't too hard really but because it was the middle of the day and I am of a mature age I did struggle a bit with the long slopes on the way back, mainly due to the humidity. The old houses along the way and the house near the jetty were a... More

Beautiful, not so long walk! Partly unshaded. We shared the ride to get to the actual place. $12 one way. Or you can hire a bike. There is jetty too.

after a long walk or cycle from the jetty, taking a stroll on the bridge at Chek Jawa Wetlands become a very educational and resourceful tour. It is small, secluded away on the other side of the island but the beauty of it is a must see.

Although I walked my rental bike more than I rode it, I had a perfect day visiting Chek Jawa. Clouds blocked the worst of the sun and the sea breeze was magnificient. I'm not a huge nature lover, so the high point of my visit was relaxing on a rock watching the planes land at Changi. I couldn't have had... More

What a great place to walk around and see the sites. Low tide is supposed to be better as you see more in the ocean but I still loved it. There are two main paths, one an ocean walk and one in the mangroves, both are great so breathtaking. The mangrove part includes a tower that you can get a... More
