Peter's treehouse is not only 25m above the ground in the middle of the jungle, but the most amazing fact is that he built it from the top to the bottom. We hiked there together with him and got to see a lot of wildlife (poison-dart frogs, monkeys, snakes etc.). We always felt safe with him as he's very knowledgable... More

I can't say enough how amazing of an experience it was for my family of 4 (kids 7 & 10) to stay in the Treehouse. Peter is a true visionary and amazing host. The whole reason I decided to go the Caribbean coast vs.the Pacific was this attraction. Thank god I made that decision. We started with the most incredible... More

If you're planning to visit Costa Rica, then visit of Peter in Manzanillo is a must! Few weeks after return from this country we can clearly say: you need to visit Manzanillo if you would like to discover wonderful non-commercial part of Costa Rica (the only place, which we love to remember:). Peter is a great guide, he'll explain you... More

I planned a trip to Costa Rica as a surprise to my husband for his 40th birthday. I knew the Nature Observatorio would be the grand finale, and I was not disappointed. We met up with Peter (and his 2 awesome dogs, who are quite possibly the luckiest animals on the planet!) and then hiked through the rainforest to the... More

We have traveled around the world and done many hikes, but to go up into the canopy this way is unmatched......find a way to put it in your time spent in the area! An inspiring and magical event even when you cannot spend the night. To catch even a little of Peter's vision and passion is wonderful. The information he... More

My wife Denise and I recently spent the night at the Observatorio deep in the heart of the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge. Don't expect to drive a car right to the base of the observatory; you'll be hiking in through the jungle, but this is where your adventure begins. Peter will be your guide, helping you spot birds, spider monkeys, and... More

A completely magical, immersive experience. Like everyone here, we had a spectacular time, made even more wonderful due to Peter (and Jason's) enthusiasm, pride, patience, and overall good-spirit. It's clear this is a magical place, a passion-project that infects everyone who touches it with the feelings that inspired it. It's hard to know how to add anything new to these... More

Peter is truly passionate about his innovation: a house in a tree, in the jungle! The hike is not hard and we spotted many frogs and insects on the trail. Climbing in the tree was more challenging than we imagined but it's really doable by anyone with average fitness level. Peter told us many interesting stories about the history of... More

I've visited national parks and refuges, but without a doubt, this was the most authentic and immersive visit to a jungle I've ever experienced. The half-day visit seemed expensive at first ($55), but was completely worthwhile and in retrospect, very good value for the money. The afternoon started with a ride from the hotel to the edge of the Observatorio's... More

My wife and I stayed in the Observatorio last week and it was the most amazing experience I have ever had in nature. From the hike in to the climb up the tree to the guided hike the following morning, everything was perfect. Peter hiked in a pizza for us for lunch, let me tell you that having pizza delivery...
