I visited this amazing treehouse in June with my friend. We really enjoyed the walk through primary rainforrest while observing unique species of animals and plants which our guide showed us. And Peter, the owner, was really friendly to us. I can highly recommend this experience and the town on Manzanillo is definitely worth visiting as well!

We spent a night in the Observatorio in February 2013. After a great nature walk in with a family from Germany, we all spent an hour or so in the treehouse together, then Peter took the family for the rest of their walk, and two of us stayed in the treehouse watching the macaws and listening to the howler monkeys... Based on positive reviews, I decided to check out the Nature Observatorio during a trip to the east coast. It's very, very cool - after a ~45-minute trek through the rainforest, during which Peter pointed out animals large and small, we arrived at the Observatorio. We rappelled up, and Peter explained that much rainforest life is up in the tree... More

I have had the pleasure of living in Costa Rica off and on for 22 years. There are many wonderful places to explore, experiences to be had and Peter's "Nature Observatorio" is one not to be missed! As other reviewers have mentioned, this adventure is rife with jungle life and beauty. Peter's vision, passion, unique sense of design and invention... More

My review does not come close to doing it justice. First, a hike in the jungle spotting various frogs, lizards and even a small snake. Followed by climbing up into the treehouse and hanging out watching spider monkey’s entertaining acrobatics and toucans. It was truly a magical experience. Don't just read about it, do it!

Words can not do this experience justice. The Nature Observatorio is a once in a lifetime experience that you will want to repeat on every vacation you go on. As other reviews have already mentioned your adventure will start with a beautiful hike through the jungle, where Peter and Jason will educate you along the way about the incredible ecosystem... This is hands-down one of the most glorious places I've ever been. Well, that we've ever been, as my girlfriend and I visited here with another couple in late November 2014. Nature Observatorio is the real deal: tons of fun, an incredible learning experience, and actual real "eco-tourism" being practiced. What's not to like? You trek in through the jungle... More

Peter's treehouse is not only 25m above the ground in the middle of the jungle, but the most amazing fact is that he built it from the top to the bottom. We hiked there together with him and got to see a lot of wildlife (poison-dart frogs, monkeys, snakes etc.). We always felt safe with him as he's very knowledgable... More

I can't say enough how amazing of an experience it was for my family of 4 (kids 7 & 10) to stay in the Treehouse. Peter is a true visionary and amazing host. The whole reason I decided to go the Caribbean coast vs.the Pacific was this attraction. Thank god I made that decision. We started with the most incredible... More
