Unchalli Falls, also known as Lushington Falls, is situated about 30 km away from Sirsi in the Uttara Kannada District. This waterfall of Aghanashini River, flows from a height of 116 m. It was named as the Lushington Falls, after the British District Collector J. D. Lushington, who discovered the falls in 1845. The best time to visit the falls... More

To start with i request Tripadvisor team to make necessary changes to the listing of Unchalli Falls, which is getting listed under Siddapura of Coorg, but Unchalli falls is located at Siddapura of Uttara Kannada district. Now, about the place. This can easily find place among the best waterfalls in the country. It falls from a great height and it... More

We went to Unchalli falls during August during Season time as a family. Luckily we went here first and Jog Falls afterwards. It was close to an hour's ride one way from Talguppa and a trek of 1/2 km downwards - slippery incline terrain to reach this place. The lush greenery on both sides with the roar of the falls... The actual falls is majestic. The amenities and cleanliness around, not so much. Be sure to carry your own stuff like water. And be sure to not want to use a toilet because the facility is pathetic.

This is one amazing water fall! the best part that Aghanashini river flows into this falls and this was certified as the cleanest river in India! add to that this river has no reservoir! so if you plan a visit to this place in rainy season you will love it.... my advise is to take this trip in the month... The sheer roar and might of this waterfall leaves one awestruck. Although in disrepair, the viewing spots are vantage. The half km walking path to the falls though is for the young and the firm. Were one to converse with the gentleman at the tea stall outside, would one know how benefic the surroundings can be to the human soul.

This waterfall will give your breath-taking vertical fall of water into a steep valley. One need to trek a lot through the jungle to reach this waterfall. Due to its falling style, there is thunderous sound all around.

Went there in august. You need to walk for about 500 metres off the road to get there. The gate was closed and it was all damp and slightly muddy. At the end is a view point. I only managed to get a few glimpses of the fall as there was a lot of fog and all the minute droplets hanging... More
