Unchalli falls are about 50 km from Jog Falls and I strongly recommend visiting Unchalli rather than Jog. This is due to the fact that even during lean rainy season like this year, Unchalli still has plenty to offer as opposed to Jog which practically dries up due to water being withheld on upstream dam. The falls are beautiful to... More

The falls seemed absolutely serene to us. The water was very gushy and the length was worth the appreciation! Not many are aware of the stunning Unchalli falls which is a shame to the district government who has done nothing in the area of tourism or its promotion! The roads have no proper signboards (we were driving from Sirsi) and... More

Unchalli is a great place to visit in Monsoon. But be informed that there are no good food joints nearby, so carry enough food and water. Also the descend to the falls is through a large number of steep steps, which are very tiresome to ascend. Summer months will be extremely tough due to humid weather.

Awesome to the core- The water level in the falls was excellent being monsoon that we could hardly see the falls- The force with which the water went down rose up as vapour to the extent it completely blocked the falls- The showers were felt all over and was complete fun getting drenched in the shower without even getting close... Visited in mid August. Need to walk 500mts from the parking area to the view point. The path is not smooth and has a lil ups and downs. The place is not hygienic and well maintained. However, the view is just mesmerizing. But to get the full view of the falls, we had to wait there like 30-45 mins as... More

Little known, but must visit for nature enthusiasts. We were a family of 5 adults and 2 small children and thoroughly enjoyed. You can see the falls from a distance & on lucky days you can see rainbow

I had visited here with family since just 20 KM to my native place. We had visited last Aug 14 during rainy season more than 2 hours could not able to see anything except fog! so better to avoid during heavy rainy season. This place is near to Sirsi as well Siddapur, easily can spend half day over here. Almost... More

the site is not so well maintained and the waterfall in February wasn't too impressive. Iruppu waterfall by Kutta is more interesting
