We've visited the rare breeds centre on several occasions over the past few years and have always had an absolutely excellent family day out. So this year, we decided to have a kid's party there for our four year old with friends and family. We were so pleased we did. The value for money was outstanding. We had a party... More

This is a fantastic place for small children to have an opportunity to stroke all sorts of animals including birds, so they experience the different textures of fur and feathers. Good hand washing facilities make this a safe activity. Plenty of space for children to run, areas for picnics if you don't want to use the excellent restaurant which is... More

We had a wonderful day out here with our two young girls at Easter, fantastic trail which kept them entertained, and a marvelous Easter bunny! Huge place , plenty to do. My only criticism is that the way we came in, we didn't see a single sign post and found it quite hard to find especially with two young very... More

We really enjoyed the visit this week. Lots of interesting animals to see in good conditions. The birds of prey display was good but the pig racing was a bit chaotic as 2 pigs got onto the the course before the start and cleared off. The price was a little high I think for what there was. One thing that... More

I love the South of England rare Breeds Centre. We were first introduced to it in 1998 when we found out about the Rainbow Wood. We sponsored a tree in memory of my dad and then subsequently my mum. Now other family members and friends have trees in their memories too. We have now visited numerous times...at different times of... More

My family loved the day out, the variety of animals and attractions is fantastic for both little and big kids (myself included in this). We will definitely return, my only downside of this trip was the queue to get in which was ridiculous. We was met with a staff member who was 70+ who couldn't use a computer which led... More

But it did not matter much, just about the only dry day during half term and the kids loved it as usual, the winter price reductions are most welcome, it was not as busy as during the summer but that is not a bad thing still lively enough and a good blast of fresh air following the rain spoiled last... My husband and I visited on Sunday 16th Feb 2014. As an animal lover I was in heaven, it was awesome. Don't worry if you have not got children as an excuse to visit, not necessary we did not feel out of place. The best part was the pigs, so cute! I cant wait to go back in the spring... More

We visited a few years ago,but it was great. Lots of hands on for the kids. Take your wellies in the winter cos it's rather messy. Doubt we'd go again cos felt it was better for youngsters and ours are grown up now.
