I took my daughter here for the afternoon she is 4 years old and loved it. Its a great day out for all of the family. Plenty of animals to see and stroke. Also displays and entertainment to suit all. We even went for the woodland walk and my daughter loved all the outdoor play. I would recommend with a... More

Took my 1yr old Grand Daughter for the day this was our first visit. We were very impressed and what a wonderful way to introduce children to animals especially when they can pet them in the barn. Our Grand Daughter walked around and it was a pleasure to see her looking in all the pens. The restaurant was well laid out... More

Went today with 14and7year old. Had a lovely day. Boys enjoyed themselves, tractor ride, pig racing, building a den. We took our own picnic but the food looked good. We carried our picnic with us but you can return to the car. Staff friendly and helpful. Thanks to all at the centre for our experience today. Your staff are a... More

Have just returned from a fun day out with the family at the Rare Breeds. We purchased a falconry experience prior to the day and was a little unsure of what to expect but asked if this could include flying a Barn Owl as these are my little boys favorite birds. The Falconer (Colin) was most helpful and said that... More

Having just returned from the rare breeds centre which is forty five minutes from my home, I was devastated to have read the banal and nonsensical critiscm of the rear breeds centre by Panda1966, particularly their critiscm of the falconer, his presentation of the birds and the birds living conditions. I spoke with this man ( the falconer) an hour... More

We have just returned from a fantastic day at the rare breeds centre. So much to do and very interactive for my girls (aged 3 & 7). They loved the hands on opportunity with the animals and had a lot of fun in the play areas, which are all clean and well maintained. The falconry show was entertaining to see... More

Visited today for the first time in four years and was horrified. Most of the farm was how we all remember, but when we got to what was our favourite part we were very shocked. The birds of prey looked awful, cages full of Lino and carpet tiles and other rubbish apparently left there to catch the mess from the... More

Was not sure after reading previous reports if this was going to be a good day out. As we drove there it was raining and I wondered if we should turn around and go to the cinema. We parked up , the clouds parted and the sun shone. What a great day we had in fact we stayed for 5... More
