We popped in here as we had a bit of time to kill before we had to be somewhere else. Nice, small little barn museum where you can make your own flower and find out more about how windmills work. Nice little area outside with a pond which would be lovely on a warm summers day. We went on a... More

Bursledon Windmill is a small treasure hidden just off of the Windover Manor Pub. It has a quaint charm about it. It's recently had a face lift and a lick of paint but don't expect to spend any longer that 20 minutes here. It's pleasing to the eye but that's about all it is.

Small but interesting only open on some days , staff were very friendly, small amount of parking . Just off M27 /A3024 towards Bursledon at top of hill , (take A27 toward Locks Heath) . entrance to Mill just after pub on left Windmill Road.

Took my mum and dad here and although it was small it was really nice. The staff were really great and extremely knowledgeable and didn't drone on. And we even got to have a go at making our own flour! Cant wait to see it back up and running

i went here with my 6 year old on a school trip. The guides were well-versed and informative which made the whole experience more interesting. The windmill itself is completely fascinating although not all the parts were open. You definitely need someone to show you round though.

I went to see this windmill as I like them very much, but was disappointed that it was closed. Somehow I was expecting it to be open every day, especially in August. I am sure that it is a nice place to visit but would recommend checking first to see if it is going to be open.

If you can be there on a day when the mill is working it is a great experience. The whole mill comes alive and the miller is pleased to explain all the process. The flour produced is available for purchase so you come away with more than memories.

Its quite interesting and there are lots of stairs but I couldnt honestly say I really enjoyed it. The people are very enthusiastic but it just didnt grab me. Not their fault - just not a windmill type of person. Kids loved it though.
