We came here by water and stopped to do some snorkeling. The water was clear but there was not a whole lot to see besides urchins. Some small fish but nothing spectacular. I wish we would have taken a bit of time to hike around the beach some more. We were told it was a clothing optional beach but alas... More

Happy Bay is a private nude beach. It is one of a few nude beaches on the island. We learned that women can go topless on any beach (which we saw many topless woman at different beaches), but here at Happy Bay, you can go completely nude. The only way to get there is from Friar's Bay. When you get... More

This beautiful beach is one of my all time favorites in st. Martin (others being mullet bay and baie rouge). Hike from friars bay or you can drive over, but the walk over is beautiful so It is worth the 15 minutes over. The snorkeling is pretty good sometimes but it must be a clear day. However the beach is... More

If you are at Friars Bay Beach, which I highly recommend, you must take the little hike to Happy Bay. It's about a fifteen minute walk and worth it. It was so beautiful and secluded. Felt like it could have been used in the movie The Blue Lagoon! It's much better than the movie was, though :) The water was... More

The beach is a hike over the hill from Friar's Bay Beach...and well worth the hike even on a hot summer day. The water was beautiful...a few boats in the bay...mostly snorkelers and a few gawkers. This beach is listed as a "clothing optional" beach but on two separate visits only saw one lady topless. We were kind of hoping... More

had to take a little hike to get to the beach maybe 10-15 minutes but well worth it. The ocean was very calm and soothing, snorkeling was good but you don't see a lot of fish. found a few shells here.

Happy beach is north of Marigot right next to Friar's bay beach. Actually access is through Friar;s beach. There seems to be access from the condos up the hill of happy beach, but would not how to get to the beach that way, Walk to the north end of the beach. You will find a small trail going up the... This clothing-optional beach is exactly a 10-minute walk from where you are able to park your car. Once you get there, you will find a beautiful beach which is not nearly as crowded as Orient Bay. This beach is very isolated. There are no beach chairs or facilities of any kind but there is a man that runs a lolo... More

From Friars Bay it's a 10 minute hike to this secluded beach. Along the way look for iguanas and land crabs. We encountered a donkey on our way back. There were only 4 others at the beach the day we were there. Bring you own food and water as nothing is close.

You must know how to get there. It is very near Grand Case, just a short walk or drive. You see a very not welcoming gate wich you can pass by at the right side. Enjoy!
