We've been to most of the beaches on the island and so we wanted to see this one as well. It wasn't as crowded as some, so it was decently quiet. Yes, there are nude sunbathers. There is a lolo serving drinks and food, I saw. It was a nice short hike and we saw a few iguanas on the... More

Park your car at Friar's Bay and take a 10-minute walk/hike to Happy Bay Beach. Pack your own water, towel, snacks and a beach chair if you like. This beach is somewhat secluded and will feel private to you because it's not crowded. It's clean, beautiful and seems to be some sort of secret.. there probably weren't more than 30... More

On the French side, beaches are clothing optional. This is the only beach we visited where that was in full force. If you are offended by nudity or have small children, this would be a good beach to pass by. Beach itself has several rock ledges and drops off fairly quickly making swimming in rough seas a bit difficult.

If I could give this slice of heaven ten stars, I would. Nestled between Grande Case and Friar's Bay is this small secluded clothing optional beach that is not frequented by tourists. You have to walk over a half mile from either Friar's Bay around the cliffs or from the main road in Grande Case to get there. But once... More

We walked to Happy Bay from Friar's Bay, took a few minutes but wonderful views of the water along the way. Happy Bay was very secluded, a couple locals were definitely smoking some marijuana in the trees but didn't bother us at all and they weren't trying to get us to join in. We tried snorkeling but it was average,... More

Okay, you have to walk a bit further than to the other beaches but it is really worth the trouble! It is a very beautiful and peaceful beach. Bring your own stuff as there is nothing here.

Went to Friars Beach with husband, swam awhile. I wanted to walk the trail to Happy Bay Beach but my husband said no way! He saw 2 guys with chains and a knife heading towards the trail. After about 40 minutes they came back. Some locals were talking in French to each other and said, "Ah, they went to rob... More

Cute, deserted beach. Rough waters, but one gentleman who is selling ribs and chicken (with salad) and drinks. About a 10-15 minute walk from Friar's Bay, no real way to access this beach by car, etc.

advertised as a private beach and mostly is. We got there by boat, but you can hike over from Friars Bay. Surf was rough our day and the volume of jellyfish made snorkeling a poor option. Seems this beach is different daily depending on the tides and weather, but if you are seeking to catch all 37 beaches, go for... More
