We decided to explore a little and went to Happy Beach first thing in the AM. We were the only ones there for several hours. Then a few more people came but never more than a dozen. This is the French side so there is some in the buff sunbathing but they are fairly discrete. The hike is not rigorous... More

Drive to Friar's bay, just north of Marigot but not quite to Grand case. Turn off at Café Heure sign and then take the dirt road to the left. Park at Friar's and take a 15 minute hike through the jungle and it dumps you out onto Happy Bay which is one of the most idyllic, quiet, beautiful beaches anywhere.... More

If you want lots of services and super snorkeling, don't go to Happy Bay. If you want a gorgeous beach with a little shade, crystal clear water, and very few people, this is the place. Pack a picnic lunch and beverages, and hike (walk, really) up the trail from the right side (facing the water) of Friar's Bay. It's not... More

If you are out to hit as many beaches as you can, don't miss this one. We started at Friers and walked the path to the beach. The beach is really nice, not very crowded the day we went. The draw backs are that there are no services, no chairs/umbrellas so bring them if you need. There are some shade... More

This is a truly beautiful beach! It's not very crowded as there is a 10 minute hike to get to it (you can park at Friar's Bay), but it is definitely worth it! There's no chairs or umbrellas to rent but you can just sit in the shade. There is one little bar that sells a few drinks and that... More

This beach is very hard to get too. You either need to arrive by boat or walk 10 minutes from friars bay. But is is very pretty

We visted this beach on Jule 11, 2014, and there were less than 5 people on the beach when we got there. Very secluded. It reminds me of Mullet Bay (without Mullet's famous ribs) before it got so popular. It is a good place to go if you are not into crowded beaches.

We arrived by using a poorly marked road from the north and parked at Friars Bay to enjoy a comfortable lunch with some rum punches with my family. We did some serious beach hopping during our stay so I can say this beach hut is one of the better ones, (also liked Pinel Island...two good beach huts there) most beach... More
