You need to walk about 10 to 15 minutes on a dirt path to reach Happy Bay from Friar's Bay. If you love quiet, beautiful, secluded beaches; then make the effort. We spent two afternoons here and just enjoyed the private setting and gorgeous beach. The water is warm and clear with minimal wave action. There is a small rocky... More

The beach, the sand, the setting and the water are all almost unreal in appearance. This is an extremely gorgeous beach. The hike over from Friars (You park there and walk to the north end of the beach to hit a trail) is about 10-15 minutes, rocky, but low/medium intensity. Take your own provisions as there are no restrooms, food... More

I'm going to focus on how to get to this beach as that is a challenge. Suffice to know the beach is secluded, beautiful, mostly nude, and one of the best we've seen. The first challenge is to find the parking lot and entrance to the beach access. We found the best way was using the parking area near Grand... More

We walked from friars bay. Walk is 10 min, very pretty. Through cow pasture but nice walk through field. Once at beach it was so pretty. But we had two kids with us so all of the naked sun bathers were a little much for our family. Last time we went a few were off to the side, this time... More

Secluded and beautiful! Grill man does chicken and ribs, beers. Bring your own towel, water and hiking shoes.

We took the 15 minute walk in flip flops and had no problems, it was a bit rocky though. It seemed nice with mostly all couples and a few families. A dozen or so naked people scattered under the trees. I took my clothes off and we had lunch then my husband fell asleep and I noticed a naked dark... More

I'd visited Happy Bay on two previous visits to the island, and would have ranked it higher. This year I walked through a past an empty Friar's Bay to find Happy Bay relatively crowded. I am not a naturalist, and until this year had not been bothered by them - they tended to stick to one end of the beach.... More

This was listed in a beach guide as an isolated, seldom visited, romantic beach. The walk past the abandoned homes with windows smashed out was unsettling. The cows and cowpies were annoying. There were a lot of people there, all clothed.

Take the car to Friar Beach and park the car. Walk 15 minutes it worth it. Calm with some cows walking around. Small bar. No chairs.

This is one of the few beaches without hotels. Nice easy 10 minute walk from Friars bay. Predominantely nude. Bring food and drinks. The nicest of the 7-8 beaches we visited on the island.
