This beach is very hard to get too. You either need to arrive by boat or walk 10 minutes from friars bay. But is is very pretty

We visted this beach on Jule 11, 2014, and there were less than 5 people on the beach when we got there. Very secluded. It reminds me of Mullet Bay (without Mullet's famous ribs) before it got so popular. It is a good place to go if you are not into crowded beaches.

We arrived by using a poorly marked road from the north and parked at Friars Bay to enjoy a comfortable lunch with some rum punches with my family. We did some serious beach hopping during our stay so I can say this beach hut is one of the better ones, (also liked Pinel Island...two good beach huts there) most beach... More

Visited Happy Bay multiple times week of May 11th. One of the best on St. Martin...somewhat secluded (no facilities), but that is what is so appealing. Saw couples and families at this beach. Waves are moderate – snorkeling below average compared to Plum Bay and Bay Rouge. Au natural is clearly accepted, even if technically prohibited. This is our second... More

If you are looking for a quiet and secluded beach that is off the beaten track, Happy Bay Beach is your beach. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk from the far right side of Friar’s Beach. Your walk will take you up a gradual incline along the coast line and then across a field where you may encounter some grazing... More

we took the trek this year to happy bay, when we got there very dissapointed in all the cow droppings everywhere , little to be desired, very disappointed as we were told about this beach and really looked forward to going there, afraid to say we wont go back, lots of other beautiful beaches.

If you're looking for beach bars, activities, music and a well groomed beach, don't bother. This is a real beach with few people making the trek up the hill and through the meadow to a natural beach with nice sand, snorkeling opportunities at either end of the beach amongst the rocks. A beautiful beach, simple and picturesque.

Do not miss Happy Bay To get there you drive north out of Marigot toward Grand Case, and turn down the road to Friar's Bay. Park at Friar's Bay beach, walk to the end of the beach and follow the path up the hill. It is about a 15 minute walk to Happy Bay. You will see a farm with... More
