My wife and I recently traveled to Argentina and visited 3 wineries in Mendoza. We live in CA, very close to Napa and Sonoma so we were quite curious about the contrast with Mendoza. We went to 2 large wineries that were very beautiful with great Malbecs and other wines but we chose Dolium primarily because they offered a lunch... More

This winery is very pretty and serves a great lunch (which is best to arrange in advance). The winemaking facilities are literally under the vineyard and available for guided tours. The wines are good, with a number of excellent Torrontés, Malbecs and Malbec rosé wines. Also, a very tasty and unique Tempranillo. What makes it stand out is Ricardo, the... More

We had an incredibly delicious lunch at Dolium. I emailed Bodega Dolium and Ricardo quickly responded with a time we could visit that same day! Ricardo was helpful with directions as well as accommodating with our rather late arrival. Once we got there, we met Ricardo and Aymeric and began our tour of the winery. Aymeric not only explained Dolium's... More

Not going to allow this place to waste any more of my time by going into great depth about how vile an experience we had at Dolium. Just don't go!

Dear Mr King of Spain, your unspecific and generic negative review won't help me improve our service to visitors, which by the way seems to be appreciated in an absolutely opposite way by all the rest of our visitors. Usually I'm present in part of the visits and never saw (or my staff has reported or my visit book reads... More

Like so many other reviewers, we were impressed by the time (well over 2 hours) and patience shown to us by the owner, Ricardo and his excellent winemakers. He even explained the tradition of drinking and sharing Mate (the infusion so many Argentines drink). The vertical tasting was exceptional and a very educational experience. A family-run enterprise with a very,... More

Spent a wonderful afternoon tasting great wine with the owner of Dolium winery. A very gracious gentleman, Ricardo, freely shared his extensive knowledge and made us feel right at home. We have tasted wine extensively in the Mendoza region and found his wines to be exceptional.

I can only agree wholeheartedly with every review that has already been posted. My friend and I visited Dolium April 23rd and met with Ricardo for a Master Tasting. Little did we know exactly what this Master Tasting would include. For two hours, we were treated like family as Ricardo gave us a personal tour of the winery which included... More

This wine tasting experience was outstanding. The property is beautiful and peaceful and the owner, Ricardo, makes you feel like a member of the family. This is a family run business and they are truly passionate about making the best wine. We learned about the background and history of Dolium while doing a vertical wine tasting that included Gran Reserve... More

I visited Dolium with my sister and Mother in Jan 2012. We were treated to a tour of the subterranean vats and oak barrels. Our tour guide was friendly and responsive. We proceeded to taste numerous bottles (many opened for us specifically) and had a tasty lunch with Ricardo (the owner) and the winery employees. Ricardo was quite charming and... More
