Woke at 3am, just to catch the dolphin at sunrise. It was a long drive from Nusa Dua to Lovina but was rewarded with the company of dolphins, a lot of them. my first time seeing wild dolphins, it was great.

Obviously this is not the most beautiful beach of Bali, but is OK and well known for the dolphin tour. If you are around, you should take this tour (100.000rp) that mostly takes about 2 hours. The only place in Bali where you see the Dolphins like this because of the calm sea.

This was our first time to stay at Lovina Beach, it was so nice to be away from the touristy parts of Bali. The beach itself was ok. There was a nice market on the beach. During our stay there was an international volley ball championship being played each night on the beach, it was extremely noisy with lots of... More

if you want to relax and chill out this is the place for you.The beach itself is average. There are a lot of venders, they can be annoying some times, if you want to buy something thats fine, but if you dont, just smile and say no thank you. If they persist, just ignore completely. Very nice little restaurants and... More

Lovina beach often linked for dolphins sightseeing. You gotta wake up early in the morning around 5am to be able to see them, if you stay in hotel nearby. Out of Singaraja, you should go at 3am from your hotel to Singaraja because it was a long way to go.

One of the dirtiest beaches we visited on the island, not really messy but there wer elots of plastic bottles and rubbish strewn across parts of the beach and the sea. The sea was quite murky, more small boats here so more petrol. There were less tourists when we went in August which was nice as sometimes we just had... More

Apparently the high tourist season ended a month or so ago. I don't know about that, but I do know what we saw was a very quiet place. The quietness was about the only good part. Underlying the quietness though was a sort of resigned sense of hopelessness, or at least that's how I sensed it. I'm sure others would... More

Unlike the busy beach front of Kuta, Lovina is quiet and relaxing. The beach is not filled with tourists like the one in Seminyak. You do see local residents going about their daily lives here. They practice yoga, martial arts, and even falun Gon by the beach. The street hawkers are not as aggressive as other parts of Bali and... More

Lovina Beach is one of the Northern beaches of Bali - 3.5 hrs from Denpasar. It is apparently known for its black sands (read grayish) and It's dolphins. We arrived too late for the dolphins and except for boats bobbing on a pretty calm sea, it's just a beach
