This sounded so wonderful and I can't think anything better than watching dolphins with a beautiful sky at sun rise. But it was disappointing, more than anything because of what I felt was happening to the animals. There were loads of boats (maybe 40 or more?) all congregating in the place where the dolphins were. As soon as dolphins were... More

We were so happy we could go and see some dolphins, after missing our chance in Sumatra. It was all very exciting, because we never saw them in the wild. The price was higher than we expected, so that was a downside. We got on a boat at 6 am and we didn't see that many tourists. Yay! But when... More

The beach was deserted which was great and very few vendors hassled us. The water was a little murky so we swam in the pool. We are a little spoilt, coming from South Africa, but still this area was a little disappointing swimming wise. E enjoyed relaxing and getting away from the more touristy areas where it is crowded.

The Lovina Beach is easily accessible from most of the beach hotels. Even though it is dark volcanic sand, it is good to see the fishing/snorkelling boats on the beach and join in with the activities.

The dolphin watching trips may sound like a nature-lover's dream, but if you respect nature, it's best to stay away from these tours. As many other reviewers have pointed out, there are dozens of boats on the water at the same time, all chasing the dolphins around with engines running. The boats rev up and speed over to a pod... You might heard that Dolphin is the only mammal in the ocean. We are wondering if it is amazing to have a boat trip in the early morning while the dolphin is having breakfast. Hence, we got up at 2am and departed From hotel in Ubud and headed to Lovina. After taking around 2 hours car trip, we finally arrived... More

One of the best places in Bali if you are looking for a calm and quiet time. Dolphins watching tours at sunrise, snorkeling and diving are being offered in the area. Not many tourist attractions.

My husband and I are on a two week holiday vacation in Bali. We heard great things about Lovina, however when we arrived here after being at Menjagan Island & Pemuteran we were a bit disappointed of the area in general. The two good things we did were, a Dolphin tour and to the hot springs in Banjar. If your... More

It was only 30 minutes sailing from Lovina Beach and waiting about half an hour when our boatman finally directed us to a group of dolphins who passed and gave us a free awesome entertainment. Its worth to wait. Absolutely. Beautiful sunrise and friendly dolphins, just a perfect combination at the Nothernmost of Bali. The only thing I hesitate to... More
