A black beach that has its nice spots, but at some places can be really dirty. At night there is a bonfire at the beach, great place to meet the locals.

Lovina beach is quite beautiful for the view. Better for snorkelling, not so much swimming. The shore and water is teeming with wild life and reef so make sure you wear shoes of sandals or you'll end up with a nasty urchin spine in your foot! Dolphins swim about 700m off the shore, so if you get up early you... More

I was very hesitant to go on a dolphin tour as I don't agree with chasing and pestering the dolphins. However, my daughter really wanted to go and our hotel, Rambutan Lovina Hotel, made the arrangements. First of all, skip the sunrise tour and do the 8:00 tour. There are far fewer boats at this time which makes for a... More

I recently found the time to visit one of the most world wide known locations in the world, the island of Bali. It would be an understatement to say that I did not expect to see something wonderful, yet I was blown away! I actually spent most of my time in the North of the island which for many people... More

Watching the wild dolphins playing in the early morning waves. The amazing volcanic sand, stunning sunsets, longboats and a serene layback atmosphere. This beach has a small amount of hawkers just locals trying to survive. The sunsets and the local warungs with cheap food and brillant music keep us coming back.

nothing not to like, walk through warm, safe, sandy water and snorkel to your heart's content. Masses of fish and coral and no need to hire a boat, really awesome.

this is an amazing place to go snorkeling and enjoy the quiet side of Bali away from Kuta. Lovina is a simple town, with a focus that seems to be solely on the diving in the area. This makes for a nice quiet scene, without feeling like you are at a bad spring break party.

What Bali was 25 years ago, laid back. Fishing boats near the beach, massages on offer, young people hawking handicrafts, not too intrusive if you keep smiling.
