I have been going to hellshire beach for many years. I love the atmosphere and the good food. The fish and festival is soo good. I love the fact that the fish is straight from the water. They give large portions and most people let you choose your fish. I love it. The beach is okay but not fancy. If... More

This is a beach that's really popular with locals, and the antithesis of the northwest resort beaches. I visited years ago and its amazing how much the beach has eroded since then. The ocean floor seemed to be mostly rock and debris and I didn't stay in the water for too long. The beach is lined with shacks that cook... More

Even with the extra seaweed floating around in in the ocean and along the beach I had the most amazing experience of my life here. I can't wait to go back next week. 💕

FISH ,CRAB, LOBSTER, SHRIMP AND COOL DRINKS... This beach has it all. Be careful of what fish hut you go to thou. If the place doesn't have a fish cooler with ice in it , WALK AWAY. Please people ask before you buy, most places dont have a problem with you looking at what they have! Most places have a... More

Take a swim, eat, relax and enjoy the sun at Hellshire in Saint Catherine, Jamaica. Fun in the sun is an understatement.

Great sea and sand. And good exposure to genuine local culture. Lots of beachfront restaurants all serving the same plain fried fish with bland bammy or festival. No public toilets - makes you wonder about the water quality. But nevermind those things. The locals are having a ton of fun here, and you should too!

Hellshire beach is a true locals kinda place. No corporate hotels or restaurants, just regular Jamaicans doing what's fun-beaching & eating fresh seafood. We went in the evening just before sunset and watched the tide come in, the beach itself isn't very wide and the water was a bit rough being that the tide was coming in. The main attraction... More

Hellshire beach is a fantastic place for seafood, music and swimming. I've read some other reviews which give the impression as if visitors expected the "garden of eden", but we must be real! First, I have been approached by those scouts looking for customers to eat at their food stands or restaurants. However you have the freedom to choose where... More
