This was our 2nd island we stopped at with our tour with Alilaguna. Wished they could extend the visiting time. Felt like a rushed job. Beautifull expensive lace. It is art work.

Veronica Gobbato is the extraordinary, graceful, knowledgable, kind and precious young Burano woman who met us, informed us of, and escorted us to, this gorgeous store, a treasure of the handiwork and history of Burano. Few venues exist in the Venice area or anywhere in Italy and our world which carry the real handiwork of the Burano women. Ms. Gobbato,... More

Good place to learn all you could ever want about the art of lace making and it is truly an art. They have many of their fine work on display and for sale too.

If it were possible for alchemy to exist, then surely the result is not metallic gold but the exquisite creations produced by hands working nothing more than thread with a sewing needle into lace of boggling intricacy and beauty ... not once, not twice, but over and over again for centuries. The small and yet extensive museum of pieces of... More

Our cruise tour visited this shop for our lace display and shopping. It was interesting to see the lace work being done. The woman specialized in one stitch and she will focus on that specific stitch until product is completed. While the store had some really pretty and great lace product, much was out of our price range. Our girls... More

After shopping for a couple of very nice items in Schiavon, a store in Murano, the owner graciously offered to have us taken by her private boat to Burano where we were met by Nora who works for Lidia, a store owned by Paula and her son David. Burano as everyone knows is very well known for its lace and... More

This was one of the best stops of our tour of Italy. We visited Burano to see the lovely island and had no plans to go shopping. Walking down the street, the shop caught my eye. I ventured inside to discover that this family run shop had it's own lace museum inside for free. Beautiful pieces! I went back out... More

In September of this year, 2013, while in Venice, I signed up for a tour of this lace factory, on an island, outside of Venice, called Burano. I visited this FABULOUS lace shop/factory, in this stunning and colorful town, and marveled at not only the shop itself but all of the treasures that I found to be show cased inside... More
