My first attempt to rock climbing and I know I have to try it when I'm in Krabi! My verdict - I'll come back for more!!I booked directly with Hot Rocks Climbing School and they are very professional yet knowledgable about the art of rock climbing. Owned by a Thai, Luang and his wife, Sara Lisa, Swedish, Hot Rocks cater... More

Having only climbed in an indoor rock gym, I thought it was time to try the real thing. And what better place to do it than in Railay. The guys at Railay Rock were super mellow, friendly, informative and no hard sell. I signed up for a morning 1/2 day and turned out to be the only student. After a... More

Entrusting my 12-year-old daughter to anyone for her first ever climbing could have been terrifying. But not with this company, who were fantastic from start to finish. I reckon she's got the bug now, and that's largely due to how great her experience was with Railay Rock Climbing Shop. Awesome!

If you want to do a deep water solo, do it with Hot Rocks. They have a beautiful sail boat, provide shoes, and charge the same (I think) as folks who take you out in noisy cramped longtails and have you climb without shoes. Lounging on pillows on the deck of their boat was almost as fun as the climbing.... More

I went out by myself for a half day with Kang. Really cool guy, excellent climber and guide. I have some experience back home, so we started pretty easy, but he chose some really cool harder routes. If you want a pretty challenging climb, ask your guide to try the route called Muay Thai. It goes up a corner and... More

My wife and I came here in January. Both had a very good time, I've only been climbing 2 or 3 times and this was my wife's first. The spots they use range from fairly to easy to one that you will not be able to climb (but fun to try). We had a great day here. A half day... More

I booked with this company since it was very reputable and therefore expected to have a wonderful and safe experience. I booked a full day climbing trip. We went out with guide Kang. The morning starting out good, the instructions were a bit hard to understand (would of not been comfortable learning to lead climb with this type of instruction).... More

My friend and I did a one-day top rope climbing course with Chai. Although, we never climb before. It's a very fun and exciting experience. Our instructor is a professional who manage to make us feel calm, give us some good advice. We never feel pressured into doing something that we don't feel comfortable. But he encouraged us to try... A friend and I recently spent two weeks traveling around Thailand and found Jay and her company Railay Rock Climbing through trip advisor. Because neither of us had ever climbed before, we were taken to the beginner wall, but we both had a wonderful time nonetheless. They look after you really well, and provided us with the confidence needed to... More
